Durham v Lancs (h) Bob Willis Trophy

Another tough looking fixture for Durham. Not sure if Lancashire will play such an inexperienced bowling attack as they did against Leicestershire and more than likely Bunny will fancy this one.
As far as Durham goes I would think Carse will return if he is available probably replacing Potts. It will also be interesting to see if the lesser spotted Berhadian is available and if so where he fits into the side.
If they don't name a slow bowler in the squad then we pretty much know what type of wicket will be prepared so for the batsmen it could be good luck batting for the first day in particular.

Lancs name a 14 man squad
Vilas
Balderstone
Bailey
Bohanon
Croft
Davies
Gleeson
Harvey
Hurt
Jennings
Jones
Lamb
Livingston
Wood

Bunny not fit after back spasm and Mahmood rested. Livingston wood and Gleeson return to squad.

Strong lancs team. I fear for our top order. Hopefully Steel dropped. Good to see Carse back in action which will hopefully add a different dimension to the attack

Bit cooler than yesterday but not a cloud in the sky here in Ch le St.

Would have just been arriving in my usual seat a few rows from the front of the Co Durham Lower waiting for the sun to banish the shade before play commenced and then sit back and watch Durham go in at lunch on 71-7.

Watching this via Lancashire cricket TV. Durham win the toss and decide to bat.
Wicket looks in the centre of the ground
Salisbury and Carse in for Potts and Coughlin.

Why don't they give Scott steel a go.
Because after his first knock where he got 40 odd I think he was crap.

Batted at 6 though so wouldn't want to bring him in at 3. Could put Harte back there and bring Scott steel in at 6 and then Burnham up to 5.

Bancroft missing out is the biggest miss as he'd slot in at 3 or open and we'd be stronger.
