Third Test - England v West Indies (Old Trafford)

I read that the oval is going to be a test ground for letting in fans next week. Any idea of the numbers?
Yeah mate, two day friendly game. Got a feeling it's around 2k they're letting in but not 100%, I know my old man's going though!

Think they said on the radio it was 500 one day and 1k the second. Apparently it was really hard to get a ticket though, phone lines were completely jammed with people trying to buy them.

Got a lot of stick on here as “head boy” when he was in his ECB role but always liked him as a player and he’s getting better as a commentator
Not to mention excellent work as director of cricket, too.

Love Straussy. The headboy shit was grim as fuck
Because he's a poor test batsman at present or because he's a bit of a nob?
Both, to be honest

Fuck knows what Foakes has to do to get a game, but Bairstow should be nowhere near the test side going forward. Let him concentrate on the silly stuff
Buttler done well today but still don't think he's the answer long term

Plus Bairstow keeps showing himself up as an utter prick, so I'm happy not having to want him to do well

Yeah, although most my my mates have got them and have a couple of spares going.

Gutted I'm working Sunday & Monday :(

Can they sell them back to the club? There must surely be a massive waiting list - probably some older members who haven’t had too much social contact for awhile who would be all over getting to go to then cricket for a couple of days!

In Baistow's defence, he did suffer a rather traumatic incident when he was young Nee idea of how I would have dealt with it... nice to have you back by the way ;)

Foakes really should be getting his shot after this series, in place of Buttler. He’s a much better keeper and test batsman, showed as much in the limited games he’s played where he was willing to graft for his score. Buttlers fine on a very flat pitch, but then as soon as the new ball came about he looked appalling again. My money is on him not seeing the first 5 overs tomorrow - if it’s overcast can make that 2...

No way he’ll be dropped if he gets a century

How do we connect him losing his dad to thinking he has a divine right to keep wicket for England?

Watching the highlights again this morning, apart from roach the bowlers have done very little with the ball and all seem dead on their feet
Met office forecast seems to have Monday as the worst for rain

there clearly isn't a connection otherwise he'd be likewise adversely affected in white ball cricket. His petulant response to being dropped from the test team may well be connected to deep root trauma from the past. For me he should focus on his ODI strength and enjoy red ball experience with Yorkshire.
