He should just get his head down and concentrate on his cricket.

Any non racist comments regarding his recent trip home have been brought about by his own stupidity.

He doesn’t yet perform to a consistently high standard, so maybe these ‘fickle’ comments are justified

Agree he needs to get his head down. He says he’s off social media now which should help.

He does make some good points in his interview but then let’s himself down for me with that stupid ‘if I don’t put my left sock on first’ comment

I hope he can just concentrate on cricket.

Unfortunately people built up far too much hype around him from the get go. The ECB changed their own rules to rush him into the side

Him being a star in the World cup and t20 tournaments doesn't mean he was gonna be a consistently excellent in test cricket

He looked sensational in the Ashes, but he's still an inexperienced red ball cricketer. Ollie Pope is 22 and played more than him

I don't give a shit if he's an ashes winning captain or a poor village cricket player, nobody should be subjected to racial abuse. That should come first and foremost before we even talk about his on, or off, the field behavior. There is absolutely nothing justifiable about the way someone has acted online and I hope they get the book thrown at them by the law.

The Black Lives Matter movement should be a moment we can all reflect and learn from, especially those of us who have never suffered racial abuse. I listened to the piece sky did with Michael Holding and Ebony Rainford-Brent, and the interview with Michael Carberry, and was very moved by it all. So it really f***ing angers me to see England's most high profile black cricketer abused in this way just a week or two later.

Didn’t think it would be long before he played the race card.
All the talent in world but don’t see him having a long international career. Comes across aa a complete dickhead imo.

Unfortunately we live in a world where racist dickheads can post racist abuse to black sportsman on social media, then cowardly racist apologist can moan about the 'race card' when they report it.

Hopefully, as he matures and gets used to the limelight he'll learn to cope and we don't lose the most exciting bowler we've had for years.

We live in a world where cowardly dickheads can post any type of abuse online, it happens on a daily basis actually. It’s not just exclusive to black people despite the narrative being pushed.

The door has been opened by Johnson, farage and trump for those who have hate ingrained to believe they can now bellow the bile to the world.

its been opened and here they are proud and patriotic, with their comments

All nasty abuse is bad, whether it's about skin colour, your mother or whatever. Let me get that out of the way. Nasty abuse should be dealt with regardless of what it's about. I've always been baffled in sport by the way people can seemingly shout whatever abuse they like at the referee, opposing team or whatever, but as soon as someone says 'black' it suddenly becomes mortally offending. Or if you fly a banner with white lives matter you get permabanned, whilst sportsmen are there with Black Lives Matter. Even though they're supposedly banned from political advertising they're promoting a Communist movement on their shirt for nowt and giving an inherently violent black power salute and an inherently submissive gesture towards blacks - kneeling says you're inferior, you don't kneel to someone you're equal to.

The one thing we should all reflect on is how utterly shallow the masses are. The new fascists will call themselves anti-fascists, forget the name, look at what this mob do. At least 28 people have been killed in BLM riots in America. Most of them shot. Most of them black. It is incredibly divisive and has set back race relations decades. Research BLM beyond it's platitude. They're Communist agitators inspired by a convicted cop killer and militaristic groups like the Black Panthers. Many of the influential people in this movement aren't anti-racist, they're racist and black supremacist.
