Ex local players that I can think that will hold the UEFA A Licence- Kevin Ball, Martin Gray and Martin Scott, there will be others but I know these have that qualification! Martin Scott owns Improtech soccer and coaches in a few local schools coaching 11-16 year olds! Martin Gray has his own academy coaching school as well!

I've applied as well. Said I have an Eastleigh tattoo and would do the job for £50 a week less than you mate.

Unlucky 👍

Stewart Donald will be haggling with your agent. When they fall out over bonuses I’ll be back into the picture.

They should just have asked @Roger to create a poll on here and whoever came out top got the job, that would keep everyone on here happy........wouldn’t it?

how on earth can someone who owns a coaching school be an academy manager of a cat 1 academy?

Does this point to Reid leaving of his own accord?

Perhaps the club wanted to furlough him on 80% and he refused/wanted a pay out from the club?
Very odd indeed. Struggling to recall when we’ve ever advertised jobs on the main safc webpage. Speaks of small time mentality

Perhaps as after the club Secretary role getting appointed on the QT and getting confirmed today they thought this would distract us idiots.

well if we didnt do it before..probably bst e do the opposite of what we id before as it hasnt worked for a decade.
Tell that to the staff that produced countless footballers who went on to be sold for millions of pounds and to appear regularly in the top leagues and on the international stage.

Things worked fine with the recruitment for and running of the academy until the chancers took over

Richard Hill will be sniffing around it
why would he take a demotion? in a properly run club...he would be the line manager of this guy.

Half a dozen players in 20 years we made money on.......aye, bang on busta.....

It’s a requirement from the Premier League that job roles within the academy are advertised, so nothing ‘tinpot’ on that side of things.

However, the fact that the deadline is only in a weeks time, tends to suggest that they have someone in mind for the role (either internally or externally).
