Illegal-
Either the Lambton Castle in Shiney Ra or the Westwood Clerb in Washy.

Legal-
Pacific Bar,Newcastle

It was LAGER both times

Illegal - Darlington Train Station, jokingly asked for 4 pints of lager, young lass serving said which type. We stayed there for hours and got ratted, I was 16, lads with me 15.
Legal - Probably the club bar at RAF Bracknell or the Horse and Jockey next to the camp.
good old days 🍺🍺

Illegal- Sam’s Bar 1987
Legal - The Roker Hotel 1989

Illegal, probably The Blandford around 1983, or may have been The Continental... Not sure. Legal, absolutely no idea. My 18th was a Monday night and went down the town then Annabels, so possibly The Continental or Sam's Bar.

Illegal - Ivy House when I was 15. Pretty sure it was a bottle of Scorpion.
Legal - Chaplins after my final A-level exam on my actual 18th. Think it was a Fosters.

Illegal-
Either the Lambton Castle in Shiney Ra or the Westwood Clerb in Washy.

Legal-
Pacific Bar,Newcastle

It was LAGER both times
Illegal - Bottle of Budweiser in the Chilton Moor Cricket Club
Legal - Pint of Carling probably in the Welly in Fencehouses.

Neither establishment are there anymore as far as I know.

Illegal: either Windmills or the Smugglers, not 100% sure but would have been lager either way.
Legal: my 18th was a Sunday and I was in the Nite Klub on Newcastle Road, which had just opened, on the Saturday night/Sunday morning, might have been a pint of Carling Premier as we were all into that at the time.

Illegal - Labatts, Brewery Tap
Legal - Samson, Mowbray Hotel (was the bar called Palatines?)

Legal was my 18th birthday. Mam sent Dad to the bar to get me something sophisticated like a glass of wine and he came back with a pint for me 😂
