City are still the best team in the league, but Liverpool well clear of the rest still. Think Chelsea will be clear in third, but still a step back from the front two. Liverpool are a bit behind city but not too far and could overtake with a bit of luck, like they’ve had this season.

Liverpool need to identify another way to create though. Athletico shut their fullbacks down and they had nothing through the middle. Watford, Chelsea, Everton and City have since repeated that with no Liverpool response in any of those games. Liverpool desperately need to replace some of their midfield - Bruno Fernandes type of player for instance would have been fantastic for them. Naturally, the lack of fans will impact a high pressing team like Liverpool more than a possession team like city as well, so that could be a factor early next season.
City, Man U and Chelsea will be much better next season. I dont think they will dominate at all.

Man U will be miles away from the front three like - they have massive problems in that squad

Im not reacting based on tonight, I’m not even taking about next season really. I reckon they’ll be competitive next year.

My question is in the next 5-10 years are they going to win maybe 3-5 titles, or is it the case this (and maybe next year) is it for them before the squad is dismantled/ too old and Klopp fucks off!
Aka. your question could be posed as ‘will this Liverpool set up create a dynasty’ in which case I would say no and say there’s more chance of Man City doing that. Anyone who finishes above Liverpool next season will be champions though most certainly.

Can see their 97 points last season outlasting this season total. Though will achieve total this season that very few have managed in league history. Very difficult to maintain such high standards. Klopp gives them a chance but now players have won game biggest honours it will be more difficult.

Ever heard of the concept of sarcasm. Utd defence "dreadful"???

Probably, but the margins will be tighter. Atm my money is on City - no Euro distraction
Centre back a bigger issue for United IMO also the biggest issue preventing me from declaring Chelsea title contenders next season.

Chelsea look like they’ve signed some cracking players already and Man U look more balanced with Bruno - they just need to sort the back four.

Liverpool are fine for now, but can’t afford to relax - plus clearly Klopp (And Pep at city) are clearly crucial to their success. Who knows how long they’ll hang around for.
I wondered if Klopp might be tempted by the Germany job this summer if it came up...surely Lowe can't last many more tournaments. Now there's another year to go before the competition maybe it'll come up then.

Lampard's the biggest issue there.

It's a good question. I would say yes, I can see them winning 3-5 titles over a 10 year period. They're managed very well at a team level and an ownership level. They recruit well in advance as well. I think we'll see far more or Keita and Fabinho next season plus the return of Oxlade Chamberlain should be a big plus. That front 3 is the issue because I'm not sure there's anyone like Firmino so he's hard to back up. I wouldn't be shocked to see Minamino provide apt cover for either of the other 2. They are being strongly linked with Hassam Auoar who would be a great signing as well and maybe the successor to Wijnaldum.

City will likely be the most successful team over that 10 year period though. The Chelsea progress looks interesting though and they might end up in the mix. I honestly can't see Man Utd, Arsenal or Spurs getting back there though.

A dominant force at the top of the Premier League for the forseeable future, or just a purple patch before they fade back to being top four challengers as they were for almost all of the Premier League era?

Team to beat, look at their record man.

They've pissed the league, on the beach

City are still capable of higher highs and thats likely to remain the case for the next few years. However Liverpool are incredibly well run so that will keep them close despite their comparative lack of wealth.

United are gonna be closer next season as well. They’ve already got an excellent midfield and attack (maybe missing a dm) and adding sancho would make them pretty frightening. Probably too much work to do this summer for them to be truly challenging but they’re a much better team now Pogba is back and they’ve got Fernandes.

Chelsea are about to start making all the same mistakes all over again IMO. They’ll end up with too many players and not enough cohesion. Their promising young players will be deprioritised to chase proven performers.

I think Kopp will stay at Liverpool for 10 years+

The standards and consistency levels this squad has achieved over the last couple of seasons have been nothing short of outstanding. I fear those levels will be difficult to reach again next year. Interested to see what business we do but I doubt we'll see too much activity, maybe add one or two and give some of the youngsters more game time would be my guess. With the others below us needing more signings it might give our settled squad a slight advantage again next season.

City only realistically need to sign a centre back?

Maybe a silva or sane replacement also

Thought City would blitz it this year but Liverpool have avoided massive injuries again. I'd be surprised they aren't the top two next year. Chelsea and United's defences are both dreadful.
Man United have conceded the second fewest goals in the league.

People saying Liverpool are “lucky”

Aye teams that are lucky often win the league with 7 games to go and have a 20 odd point cushion by Christmas.
