Caulkin tries to pass himself off a serious journalist but cannot see past his B&W specs. It's embarrassing.

It's the constant faux sentimentalism about beer, ships, mines, and the overstated anguish of mid table Premier League finishes and Cup quarter finals that I cannot stand.

Aye, can't disagree there. And the crowd in this game likely wouldn't have made much, if any, difference because when they're on their game this city side are almost untouchable. I do think in general it makes a bit of a difference not having the crowd there though. Thinking back to our game with Chelsea a few years ago, the atmosphere was class and I do wonder if we'd have won that game if it was behind closed doors. I imagine an atmosphere like that (not saying the mags would have matched it today) can really spur a team on

People licked up his arse when he was writing nice things about us but he's always got on my tits. Its as if the North East is full of flat caps and whippets when you read his articles.

On a serious note the reference to a beery crowd. No wonder we cannot socially distance and socially drink when journalists infer you need to be tanked to create an atmosphere

Going on making it sound as though Mike Ashley had a part to play in the coronavirus and it’s all only came about to affect Newcastle’s attendance. Not to mention the fact that he even thinks they stand a chance. No bias involved whatsoever...

Boyhood Newcastle fan from Durham, who got his first start as a journalist around the same time Keegan becomes the Mags manager. Probably explains why he fawns over them so nauseatingly on Twitter....

In isolation it was ok. When it is the only article he ever writes, it's a bit of an issue.

Aye, I hadn't seen many of his other articles and don't really read things about the mags. Thought it captured the mood brilliantly. Then I saw more of his articles and it was virtually the same thing with a few details changed!
