New Music Releases Thread

It certainly is

and in a move I’d only expect from her she’s done a playboy shoot/interview

Yeah I did see that and think that was an interesting way to promote the new record.

I'm actually listening again now as I post this. Chinese Satellite is one of my highlights. The string arrangement on that is just wonderful. Going to take a good effort to knock this off as my top album of the year.

We have new releases tomorrow from Arca, Art Feynman, Bad Moves, Buju Banton, Corb Lund, Evening Hymns, Grey Daze, Haim, James Krivchenia, Jessie Ware, Kansas, Khruangbin, Ray LaMontagne, Nadine Shah, The Dead Tongues, Bananagun, Tengger and Snowgoose.
Haim, Khruangbin, Nadine Shah and Ray LaMontagne for me.

This is an interesting one, first time I’ve seen a proper, albeit reduced charge for a streamed gig (am sure it’s happened elsewhere) would you pay this, €12 for a streamed set?

Ultimately this isn’t a format I find as engaging because I don’t think the sound quality is there. I’m not sure I’d do it. One of the last gigs I saw before lockdown was Portico Quartet and the sound was absolutely pristine. I don’t think it would be the same over Zoom...

I definitely want to support music but think there are better ways.
