im not talking about the WTO, of course they influence business decisions.
My point is you Unbelievably think that this wee Jock McPlop character will be listened to by the highest foreign ministers in the land 😂😂

I've never said that at all. Don't lie about what I said because you've been made to look a dafty.

Highest foreign ministers in the land 😂 UK ministers probably aren't even in the top ten
You are mistaken. I'm 60/40 that it'll happen so of course I'll present a case to show why I have confidence. Especially in response to posts that, in my opinion, show a bias the other way.

fwiw, the 40% is if the PL don't get sufficient assurances from the KSA that they'll crack down on the piracy that they've all but promoted. the PL don't give a shit about ethics, or sportswashing, or pretty much anything beyond money and protecting their intellectual property (which comes back to money).

Of course it's a highest bidder wins process. And when two of the bidding parties are the staggering wealthy broadcast arms of either Qatar or Saudi Arabia, the bids will surely be sickeningly high. The Premier League benefits from a bidding war for the broadcast rights in that region.

I also think that should the PL block the sale there is very little incentive for KSA to take piracy seriously, and or course, very little incentive for them to bid for the rights in the first place.

Erm the WTO has found them guilty of not doing enough.

If they did nothing the premier League would sue the KSA for billions. And it isn't just the premier League Uefa and La Liga as well

If they did nothing, sure the PL could sue for damages. How well do you see that going? Probably as well as the attempts to bring the murderers of Khashoggi to justice? Or as well as the punishment for the war crimes in Yemen?
The government having the final say seems to be your cause of optimism and your stock reply
Then you've not read/understood what I've written.

What on Earth are you on about ? Who in this country, other than the Prime Minister has more say on UK foreign policy than the foreign minister ?
