Shes after 1.8bn or something and it his job to make her trip up.
She must have obviously been in wrong and he's made her admit it by pressuring her.
Canny ironic that someone called Onions is making people cry mind![]()
I take it you haven’t seen any of it? He has virtually torn her a new one all week, leading her into it, then a long pause to let her sweat a bit.Barclays wouldn’t appoint a tuppence ha’penny barrister and he is tying her in knots.Shes after 1.8bn or something and it his job to make her trip up.

You are mistaken. I'm 60/40 that it'll happen so of course I'll present a case to show why I have confidence. Especially in response to posts that, in my opinion, show a bias the other way.Surely the government would be critical if they d
Fwiw I believe you are blinded by your blinkered belief that the deal is all but over the finishing line which takes away your objectivity. Not one negative on the takeover from you if I am not mistaken?
Of course it's a highest bidder wins process. And when two of the bidding parties are the staggering wealthy broadcast arms of either Qatar or Saudi Arabia, the bids will surely be sickeningly high. The Premier League benefits from a bidding war for the broadcast rights in that region. How do you think high level business is conducted?
Oh go on man let us buy Newcastle and I promise well bid loads of money next year
It's a highest bidder wins process. There is nothing the Saudis can do to guarantee they'll purchase the TV rights other than give their word which we all know can't be trusted.

From your posts I would suggest you are more than 60/40. Christ, that is close to evens and you are implying that the government would have the final say by gentle persuasion shall we say.You are mistaken. fwiw, the 40% is if the PL don't get sufficient assurances from the KSA that they'll crack down on the piracy that they've all but promoted. the PL don't give a shit about ethics, or sportswashing, or pretty much anything beyond money and protecting their intellectual property (which comes back to money).

I also think that should the PL block the sale there is very little incentive for KSA to take piracy seriously, and or course, very little incentive for them to bid for the rights in the first place.
Didn't Raab say that they would welcome investment as long as it follow the due process? Pretty sure the Foreign Secretary outranks a committee chair.like I said earlier, a low ranking member of the SNP isn’t going to have much clout with the governments Secretary of State for international trade or the foreign minister. That’s not even bias it’s just fact.
Didn't mean you to infer I thought they'd have final say. Some say, sure, but not final say. That will be the PL.From your posts I would suggest you are more than 60/40. He’s pretty much ripped her evidence to bits point by point. He called her a hustler and said she only brought the claim because she thought Barclays would cave. If he’s right and she loses she’s going to be completely discredited and I suspect finished in business because know one would trust her.Shes after 1.8bn or something and it his job to make her trip up.

That is the basis of your argument/optimism though, time and time again you have wheeled it out in your defence. Surely 60/40 is understating your confidence?Didn't Raab say that they would welcome investment as long as it follow the due process? Pretty sure the Foreign Secretary outranks a committee chair.

Yep...she has to plead her case yet ...He’s pretty much ripped her evidence to bits point by point. But that’s what you would expect from a defence lawyer in cross examination, so it will be interesting to see what comes out of witnesses on her sides evidence.
Which is what I said reallyYep...she has to plead her case yet ...

I can virtually hear you doing the tune in your heads right now. Don’t Lie![]()
I’m right aren’t I ? Whose a clever shit then?
So you agree that we need investment to progressJust been looking at Newcastles team and I think it's poor quality. Fair enough I'm a Sunderland fan but I think major investment is needed if you want to break in to the top 10 on a regular basis
The player I really rate is Dubravka who is excellent. Matt Ritchie always gives 100 per cent and has touches of quality and Fabian Scharr who has been very good for a long while. I suppose you could throw in that asm or whatever he's called.... But the rest are a mixture of bottom 6 premiership players/top half championship players.
Do you agree?
That's why I agreedWhich is what I said really
