Lad I know ( not a NUFC fan ) has had a read through it and reckons from a legal point of view nothing that is on this report can point to the PIF as 100% guilty. Also the PIF defence / their say on things is of equal importance. He reckons at least another 10-14 days from a final decision on things like this.

Some interesting stuff coming out about the self-styled 'super lawyer' in her battle with Barclays over the past few days:

- Her 'multi billion' PCP company was essentially a two-man firm when they took over Man City
- They were working for Man City's previous owners, not Mansour. It was Staveley's first material deal
- Staveley considers Mansour a 'friend', but had to pay to get access to him. She said he would provide some kind of statement to support her, but hasn't.

She seems like a pretty dodgy woman tbh. Still would have her as owner 1000 times out of 1000 over Donald like

I had it on in the background today. She throws jargon around like confetti, and it would impress many. However, Mr Onions who is defending Barclays is incredibly smart and again AS was squirming. He ended, when asked if they were on track by saying "After that last session, we are definitely on track". She must have some prosecuting Barrister up her sleeve to rip Barclays apart, else she's lost.

Please explain every Part of Trips?

Or are you just reading Twitter posts
Sorry I don't understand what you are asking
However official confirmation by the WTO, which the PL can use an excuse to block it, thereby passing the buck.

£17 million in Big Mikes back pocket and a sale to the American awaits.
Possibly, I don't know the answer to that.
I'll be hoping they don't you'll be hoping they will.
So, how confident are you of this takeover going ahead?
before the WTO report I was very worried but very optimistic.
After the WTO report I am a lot less worried but still worried and still very optimistic.

Legally there is nothing there....as I said before ...the Saudis lawyers would have been through this with a fine tooth comb.

Yes, the report said that KSA failed to take action against the perpetrators of piracy. Not that the Saudi state or PIF were responsible For the piracy.

that doesn't read well mind, from the bbc

"But in its judgement, issued on Tuesday, the WTO found that Saudi Arabia had facilitated the beoutQ operation and had "acted in a manner inconsistent" with international law protecting intellectual property rights."

You sure about the bit in bold?

Yes, by not taking action against the perpetrators, it’s that simple.

I would watch the Staveley trial and re-assess. In this case essentially Qatar and UAE said they would provide funds in bailing out Barclays in 2008. She is flakey as can be with no attention to detail. If her approach has been the same with #takeover, I very much doubt any one has been through this with a big thick brush never mind a fine tooth comb.

I've been watching it a bit. It's great viewing. The Barclay's lawyer is tremendous. She keeps waffling whilst he stands there saying nowt.

She is a relentless self-publicist. She likes to talk a lot about how connected she is, but when it matters in this case, one of her connections has let her down. Leads you to question just how connected she really is.

As an aside, I was following today on Twitter and didn't realise you could watch on Zoom. Do you have a link for tomorrow?

Go to page 72 on this thread and you should see it. I have been following it since Sabre Mag kindly showed me it. I find it riveting, she is squirming like hell and the barrister is tying her up in knots

I found this link earlier in the week -

I am not 100% focused on it, as was busy working, but I couldn't help overhear how she was name dropping HH (or His Highness) which I guess is Sheik Mansour. And then at the end they kept referring to a meeting which turned out that anyone with investment ideas could drop in and pitch to. I think they will continue with this tomorrow.
