You are the one who has stated Ashleys ambition is purely surviving. How do you know that as fact when everything that has been posted, shows that maybe his ‘ambition’ goes beyond that? How do you know he hasnt wanted to finished 10-14th each season? How do you know the season when you finished 5th, the club didnt fancy a crack at the top 8?
You are the one who has stated on numerous occasions that Ashleys only ambition is to survive.
If what you are saying is true, You could say that anybody who finishes outside the top 6 has an ambition to just survive, which is absolute bollocks.

This journo has watched the whole court case so far. She's been absolutely humiliated - shown up as a complete grifter.
Some of the main points:
She claimed that Sheik Mansour would provide a witness statement, but this never materialised. Says that he is her friend and will be for a long time. Barrister cross examining accused her of making up claim she had a direct relationship with Mansour. Says there's no proof of relationship. She says there's no proof because she was using a pay as you go phone in UAE. She claims that the Gulf royal now has a preference for Whatsapp.
Staveley being pressed on her claims of her relationship with Mansour. Lawyer going through her travel schedule in detail, before saying, "You could not have met Sheikh Mansour @ the Emirates Palace hotel on Oct 9 could you?" Staveley: "Must have been the week before".
A key document (a model for the Barclays deal) may have been lost in a fire or a home theft, Staveley seems to suggest. This key document was only available in hard copy, she suggests because her analyst was "old fashioned" and didn't email.
Its been made clear that she was working for Thaksin in the Man City deal, not Mansour, as she has always allowed everyone to believe.
Questioning returns to content of a key letter sent by PCP's Craig Eadie to Serious Fraud Office. Staveley says she was not fully aware of its contents because she was distracted by the passing of her grandmother, a figure that had raised her.
Amanda Staveley's business partner in PCP, Craig Eadie, being cross examined by Barclays lawyer today. He's having a tough time. Calls into question what exactly PCP is. Hard to think of it as anything more than a broker/middleman at this point.

Eadie now being asked why PCP allowed itself to be perceived as an advisory company when it was not registered by the FSA. Discussion also turns on what PCP told the FSA when the regulator investigated it a decade ago
The cast of characters involved in this Barclays deal is interesting. One of the middlemen Staveley dealt with and had to pay is the son of a former Afghan defence minister

The latest documents show a charge registered to PCP Partners and Ashley's St James' Holdings, which is listed as the lender.
Shields Gazette report the document suggest Ashley is "essentially helping to fund Staveley’s bid to purchase the club".

Section 4.14.5 of the charge document shows that St James Holdings is agreeing to loan a sum of at least £150million to Staveley’s company – which could be Ashley’s way of helping to fund a deal.
We’ve just fucked off our major trading allies in the EU and Johnson etc have been pleading with the outside world to strike up business deals. He’ll undoubtedly be wanting the PL to take big Saudi investment, he’d be mad not to. Obviously depends how much the PL are influenced by what he says ( if it’s true of course )
This is pretty much what Richard Keys alluded to the other week in that the Premier League had concerns over this but the tory boys were making it known they would like to see the sale go through.
