Season Card Q&A

What a pathetic post.

The best they can do? They are blatantly trying to rip people off on the back of loyalty to the club. They are forcing many season ticket holders, a lot of whom, have had season tickets for decades to cancel, when they really dont want to.

They could have offered away streams, they could have offered partial discount, but they didnt. It is a disgrace.

It'll also damage the club long term. I suspect there will be quite a few who are cancelling now who will be at a tipping point with it all and wont renew.

The club (first team, youth set ups, now supporter base), if they sold today, has been dismantled and diminished. Their legacy will take years to recover from, yet you continue to stick up for them. Absolutely mental.
He hasn't a clue man, it's pointless arguing with him. He knows nothing about having and renewing a season ticket so he can't possibly relate. He has no comprehension of how hurtful it is to have to cancel something some of us have held on to for decades. He's of the same mindset as the bastards in charge - we're just a consumer.

Yep. I’ve been a season ticket holder longer than I care to remember and I actually did find cancelling painful. I didn’t really want to, however, as I foresee most games will be behind closed doors for a large chunk, if not all of next season, there was no way I could justify spending what works out at nearly £20 a game to stream League One matches on my phone or laptop.

Also, admittedly, I do miss the odd game from time to time these days because of work and other commitments, so I especially couldn’t justify the spend on something I wouldn’t even necessarily be able to watch live either, if at all.

Im I right in thinking that the Owners can inject capital into the club to then raise our allowed wage bill.

So if the owners wanted to in theory they could put money into the club and this would then allow us to have a larger wage bill, therefore there’d be no requirement to reduce the wage bill unless they weren’t willing to put that money in to cover the allowed wage bill.

They can, but it's a double edged sword, because that uplift will only apply in the season in which the injection was made. An owner could be setting themselves up for an annual capital input. So it's not a panacea, unless you believe that the function of an owner is to plough his wealth into a club whatever; a model that has greatly contributed to English football being broken.

Was there a three year deal to freeze black cats bar tickets? If I don't renew and cancel until which point they decide to seel them again, will the deal still be honoured or will it br treated as a new request rather than a renewal? Sorry if this has been asked before. Am not like.

The 3 year prize freeze was across the board, but have to renew before the early bird deadline. As things stand that's open indefinitely.

No but at the same time I’m not talking about huge sums here and if you’re promoted then the regulations seem to alter when you move up into the championship? Im just establishing that we don’t absolutely have to reduce the wage bill if season card sales dip.

It's nee good being a victim of your own piety rattling about in the lower divisions though.

THAT is how you do it. Bit of respect, appreciation, thought and giving fans good options.

Meanwhile I'm about to email the club and cancel my DD, as much as it pains me to do it.

I did that yesterday, but the webpage just showed a spinny thing for 10 minutes then crashed. 32 years as a season ticket holder for me. I will renew but not until the club sort their shit out.

Whatever the amount is, I am going to take every penny. I don't care if they beg in an email and ask us to think otherwise. The fact that these owners have took the piss, I won't support them with a single penny.

Depressingly a lot of people feel the same as you mate! What a time to be alive
