I agree with that other than Sunderland aren't in the same tier as the others in tier 3. All the others in tier 3 have played loads of games in europe and gone deep into European competitions and/or won them.

This fascination with Yoorope man...you get in cos other clubs don't want to (Intertoto) and cos you lost cup finals. For every Juve you play you play 4 teams that no one has heard of. For every Barca match at home you get well under capacity crowds for many other games. For every jolly to Milan (which is a shit drink) you have a Sunday match which are nearly always shite.

Last 20 year you say.

Seasons in top flight

Forest - 0
Leeds - 4
Sunderland - 14

I wouldn't have Forest, Leeds or Sunderland in that 3rd tier over the last 20 or 30 year.

Manure, Liverpool

Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea

Newcastle Spurs, Everton, Leicester, Villa ( Everton only get it as they won the FA cup, they have by and large done nothing of note in the Premier League aside from a few 6th place finishes, never played in the Champions league apart from a qualifier or challenged for the title etc).

The longer Ashley stays at Newcastle the more chance they have of falling down that list.

Most that list is spot on to be fair, however nobody outside of Sunderland would ever put them in a list with the rest of them clubs you have mentioned in that 3rd tier.
I duno like, If you're an older guy say around 140yrs old you might put Sunderland above Newcastle.
I think Newcastle being before Sunderland probably only really applies to those blokes who can only stretch their memories back to 1904

No we got in for finishing in the top 6 on about ten occasions actually.

And yes European record is part of the criteria on judging a club. God imagine if Sunderland had over 100 games in Europe and Newcastle had 4. We would never hear the end of it and it would be the main factor in lists like that

We have more league titles than you, is that shouted about constantly? We have finished top 3 in this country many more times, is that shouted about?

f***ing deluded.

Newcastle in the same list as Arsenal and Chelsea.
Let's compare what Arsenal and Chelsea have won against Newcastles magnificent achievements of nearly winning the league and playing a game against Barca.

The fact you still bang on about these events show how small time you are.

You've spent £125m in the last three seasons, I'd say that was trying to improve.
Oh and signed a world class manager, doesn't sound like a club just trying to avoid relegation to me.
£125m in 6 windows is c£21m each window and 1/3rd of that total was spent on Joelinton this summer. A striker that the previous manager stated wasn't worth £40m, and who hasn't looked like a Premier League striker thus far. Certainly less a striker than the £16m rated Rondon.

Eh? Where did I put Newcastle in the same tier as Arsenal and Chelsea?

That was like 100 years ago before any of us were born and wasn't the league about 9 times long when you did that?
Still happened. You weren't born when WW2 was about but it still happened. Inf act I reckon you weren't around when Gulf War 2 was a thing

I never said we were on that level. Tier 3 is right for us but tier 4 for you lot.

Small time  Wow! We aren't the ones arguing and making rivalries with the likes of Portsmouth and Coventry and getting excited about the johnstones paint trophy! Small time is signing players on a free from Bury! Your lack of self awareness is staggering binxy lad

Is the war of words with Stevenage still ongoing?

So they don't count then is that what you're saying?

Ok so using your logic Newcastles titles and cups don't count either after all they were over 90 year ago (league) and 60 year (cup).

f***ing huge club😂

Part of the club's history though and cannot be airbrushed out to suit your agenda. You will probably already know this but football was happening before 1992.

FA cup game they were like an annoying little fly buzzing around a giant. You are on equal terms to all these small time rivalries you are making

We aren't a huge club. Just certainly in a tier above you small time lot in that list that's all I said.

So things happen at certain times. A few years ago Man Utd hated us due to some berks doing the Poznan. Now Cov and Pompey have issues.
You had issues with Stevenage. Now, er no one really cares.

neither are we. The only fans from the north east getting excited about the Johnstones paint trophy was you lot earlier in the season
