Best and worse champions league finals

I was jumping about watching the Liverpool Milan final, and I don’t even care about them it was that engaging.

Man United v Bayern when I was a kid watching with my mam and dad - that was pretty epic too. But I think Liverpool edge it as they were far inferior to that Milan side on paper, plus the fact they had three sides of the ground and overcame almost impossible odds.

Worst probably any final involving Chelsea. Although beating Bayern Munich in their own back yard on penalties was pretty funny
 


As said the Juve v Milan game at Old Trafford was a shocker but it was fantastic at Manchester airport that day, if you like your planes that is.

They barely had anywhere left to stick a plane, dozens of Alitalia planes strewn across the tarmac, was like Rome for the day 😎

That's the one I immediately thought of. As you say, both sides had played some terrific attacking football through the competition. Red Star, in particular, didn't seem interested in anything beyond penalties.
 
Last season's was pretty crap.

The recent all-Madrid finals have all been pretty decent for various reasons. Also thought Real and Ronaldo in particular were tremendous when they demolished Juve, though I do prefer a closer game.

I watched it in a bar. Left at half time and went to bed. Woke up to check how badly they got beat and thought I was still asleep. There was no way they turned it around. It wasn’t just that they were 3-0 down, they were being played off the park.
 
Was the United Bayern final not pretty meh bar the last 2 minutes?

In my head the Real Leverkusen game was decent but i did only watch it live.
 
All the recent Real Madrid ones with C.Ronaldo have been the highest quality (easily). The Lisbon final where Ramos equalised with the last kick of the game was an epic battle of defence vs attack. Its a shame we never got the El Clasico Final which would have capped off the Messi v Ronaldo years perfectly, it was so close to happening a few years running.

The worst, as a few have mentioned, was definitely Milan Juve at Old Trafford. Last years was also dreadful and ruined by the ridiculous penalty decision at the start.

I had an uncle who once played, for Red Star Belgrade.
