Theirs plenty of clubs who've won fuck all for a long time, some have had multiple relegations, record lows, nearly gone out of business.
Are their fans long suffering as well or is it just the poor mags what deserve better?

no other fans can be long suffering also, Newcastle fans being long suffering does not preclude over groups of fans being long suffering.

Plenty of clubs deserve better, plenty of clubs' fans are long suffering. Newcastle are among those clubs, among those fans, whether you agree or not.

I see us as a top flight club because we are in the top flight more often than not.
You are currently in league 1 but I don't view Sunderland as a third tier club, I imagine most of your fans would agree with me.
 
Been in the Premier League in all but three seasons since it was formed but 'we're not a 'top-flight' club.'
