Bare in mind bob posted this on another thread last week...

‘spoke to Ghandi floss I believe him, but now I know who it was so im gonna have a chat on Tuesday’

Then yesterday he just happened to bump into him at a builders yard.
So he was either stalking the lad or making it up.

so there you have it, They wanted SD to stay , they also wanted a joint venture not a takeover, and finally I just met a tosser who acts billy big bollocks, when he is a keyboard warrior.
This is a forum for lads and lasses to craic on, not to call the club and say a poster has been telling tales about the new people.
if you hate what I post turn me off please, or get the mods to fuckin ban me
Bad craic if they did this bob, one point though, I’m close to somebody who’s very close to sd, and while im sure that’s what you’ve been told, I was told first hand that he wasn’t happy because the fpp lot weren’t keeping him on in any capacity. I was told that in February, so long after the deal reached its impasse, Not saying that’s why it stalled, cos I wasn’t told that, but I was told they were still there, and the loan was designed to secure the assets should they decide to proceed, ie that madrox couldn’t dispose or draw funding against them.

Wot the next wave of mackems in Jawdees clothing once the Camel train rolls into Toon?

Barely a pulse when the going gets tough.....
Wasnt particularly tough then, we were mid league. It was a Tuesday night with biblical weather. The club even moved the 30 or so PUFC fans from the Roker to the Clockstand seats mid match.

It’s absolutely clear that SD has a fairly significant ego - and is determined to play at football ownership. The utter lack of self-awareness of quite how bad he is at it is tied up in the egotism too.

It does sound very strange. So someone phones the club (or more likely someone at the club since the normal lines won't be operational). They say... something about Madbob the Mackem from a message board (even though he's said absolutely nothing that I imagine would interest/ concern the club hierarchy) and says he's from RAWA. The club then contact Madbob, and somehow he manages to find out not only the lads name, but also randomly manages to meet him at a builders merchant, recognises him and has a word? It's like something from the cold war. I don't even get the impression that all that many from RAWA post on here and certainly don't think they'd have any strong opinions on madbob!! Whatevers happened, someone is taking a message board far too seriously!

Sounds interesting. Can you get an update at all?

He’s just a total fraud and a total fake. Very much a “look at me” type character. That’s why I am sad so many were taken in by the initial charm offensive. A man that little was known about prior to our takeover other than he had left his wife for a stripper and failed spectacularly at a non league club all the while bragging about how much money it had cost him - £10m spent on Eastleigh? Really. Would quite like someone to look at their accounts during his tenure to see where that went. Then the comment of having to find £50m down the back of his sofa or whatever, saying he paid £40m for us etc was again all just “look at me I can afford to pay £40m for a club”. Little did he know how much that would come back to bite him in the future. I’ve said before the only other club owner who ever had to go for pints with fans on arrival was 13 miles up the road and look how that went. If you’re ready, willing and able to take on a football club like ours actions speak louder than words. There’s no need to slime around fans before the game and tweet for likes. You’d gain respect by your actions. Not by posing for a selfie which was the way he chose to garner support. Sadly for some fans it’s the selfie with Stew that they just can’t let go. That’s why they back him. You see the types all over Facebook. It’s vomit inducing.

He even said ‘tuesday’ , then happened to bump into the person on said day.
Weird coincidence or something else?

good post and pretty much sums it up, the more you think about it the more surreal it becomes, a bloke from Eastleigh took over Sunderland it's just too ridiculous

Exactly. I thought and said so much at the time. How could a bloke with a failed attempt at owning Oxford and therefore only owning f***ing Eastleigh possibly be a position to own and run SAFC? The international consortium announced never came to fruition and here we are, owned by a bloke who couldn't afford to buy us and who has taken a loan out to help run the club all whilst selling anything that isn't screwed down.
I keep banging-on about this but it's going to take a decade or more to recover from his ownership, unless someone with deep pockets buys him out.

I'm all for being self-sufficient but that involves utilising products of your Academy of which there are presently none to come through.

Absolutely bang-on the money. Sunderland was a vanity project for him but one he has gotten in far too deeply.
