The confidentiality agreement didn't seem to apply when they said the obligation to pay back was removed at the request of FPP. Funny that isn't it, very convenient.
Whatever people are just nit picking now, you have no idea what is in the confidentiality agreements. You don't believe them fine that's your opinion

Pleased you happy that we are debt free, this message board is suddenly full of financial experts who seem to know more than the club and its investors😀
Who do you think will have provided that statement?
The club obviously, if you choose to believe newspapers who don't have full access to accounts and investment then fine that's your choice
No it means they can't comment on due to confidentiality agreements, these things do exist
Whatever carry on and believe the papers, the truth will come out when they sell

You don't need to be a expert, read the article just released. I don't pretend to know the in n outs of the clubs finances like many on here even though they don't have a clue what's going on

So you believe SD had a 5 year plan for SAFC because as a neutral and someone of average intelligence I think that's a load of old bollocks? 3 years max then sell for a profit if you ask me and it's all gone horribly wrong. And believe me I want you back playing Wolves in the Prem.

Well they have already paid back aarge amount of it

So madrox needs to pay the club back 11 million but the club is debt free.

The americans invested in madrox not sunderland but used Sunderland as security for the loan. Am I being thick here!!!

The club is owed money but doesn’t owe money. Surely that’s a good thing?

We aren't skint and are debt free as the interview in the Sunderland echo shows, baffles me why so many believe every newspaper report without waiting to find out the facts

It's a interview out there for all to see, I would believe that over the Times any day

If that's the case why did the board set the manager a target of 100 points before negotiating transfers out of first team footballers, and then bringing in a handful of free transfer journeymen? Meaning we started the "100 point target season" with a first team significantly weaker than the team that failed abjectly the previous season?

Sorry if this has been answered a thousand times already, but do Madrox actually own Sunderland AFC? If Madrox were to bomb, do SAFC go down with them?

Finally, why when buying a football club, would you set up another company (Madrox) to buy it rather than just buy it directly?

We did spend money, we are a league 1 club we arent going to spend a fortune. They said we have to aim for 100 pts to guarantee promotion, if the season starts again we won't need anywhere near 100pts to get promoted

Surely this is the beginning of the end now in regards to their ownership. Be f***ing poisonous if they are still here when we get back to normal

I could be wrong. However I think that's exactly the point of setting up Madrox to buy the club. So if madrox goes tits up it takes the hit and the club doesn't go with it. Like I say I could be wrong.

Madrox do own Sunderland but if they default on the the loan to FPP then FFP could end with the club. SD won't let that happen.
