We aren't skint and are debt free as the interview in the Sunderland echo shows, baffles me why so many believe every newspaper report without waiting to find out the facts

It's a interview out there for all to see, I would believe that over the Times any day
The interview just proves they are full of shit. The club is debt free but owed money by Madrox. Madrox are the holding company for SAFC. Yes the club is debt free but is tied up as an asset of Madrox.

so lets get this right, he bought a debt free club, bloody cheaply. Has spent next to nowt on the playing staff, employed his mates in all of the major positions, oversaw our lowest position in history, is just about to beat that as well, has told us all truths, half truths or possibly lies, sold any young talent that we have had, we are going to spend our 3rd season in the 3rd tier with a manager who doesn't do much better than that, quoted the aim being 100 points. He tried to flip the club before FPP came along, lead us on that the millionaires were about to take over then something going drastically amiss. He was seen on Netflix pushing the boat out for Grigg despite his mates in high places telling him not to, then embarrassingly playfighting with the Head of Recruitment when it went through, the club is at its lowest ever ebb with nothing to look forward to other than another massive rebuild of the squad for as little as possible and yet people are questioning why he is being scrutinised?

Nope you are wrong. Ask the ponytail.

You're wasting your time. This a bloke who's admitted he doesn't understand finances but doesn't listen to 'experts' either. Proper head in the sand stuff
You don't need to be a expert, read the article just released. I don't pretend to know the in n outs of the clubs finances like many on here even though they don't have a clue what's going on

No its not read the article
I did and when someone answers a question with:
We can’t comment on the individual financial arrangements due to confidentiality with all our investors.

It means:
We are hiding behind this statement.

IMO, Donald has no money to invest. The debt is with Madrox who own SAFC.

No it means they can't comment on due to confidentiality agreements, these things do exist

That in-depth investigation that “The Athletic” is promising sounds very interesting with recent developments.
Watch this Space.⏰

So, who do we believe? A Daily Mail shit stirrer, or the owners who provided details?

The Daily Mail shit stirrer for me easily. The nationals have got better stuff to do than make up bollocks about a football club in the third division. If Caulkin produces a piece i will definitely be convinced. I simply don't believe our owners when they say they cant answer the really important equations due to Madrox confidentiality when Madrox was set up purely as the vehicle through which Sunderland is owned. They put this down to 'wider investments and interests' but these wider interests definitely aren't significant enough to impact on a future sale. They tell you what you want to hear and hide behind confidentiality on the stuff that would really reassure us.
