old people call asda asdasI've always called it Fenwicks, even though I know it's called Fenwick, a force of habit I suppose.
Similarly people call Tesco, Tesco's while the former is actually the correct name.

Ah well at least there's a 'positive' to take out of it. I'm not missing the football either but aye just missing the crack with a few pints. Watching telly mostly.. .never thought I'd get sick of it.. * and listening to plenty of music, 80's indie on amazon is quality.Alreet mate, apart from turning into a little fat bell...
Still working as normal, duties are much better though cos of the reduced service. Not really missing the football either although I'm missing the social aspect of it like. What you been occupying yourself with then??
The Arsenal???True - but it’s interesting seeing where people will add a letter s and where they will not.
Pfizer - I used to work there but the number of people, even some who worked there, who called it Pfizers.
Tesco - more often than not gets award a letter s.
Waitrose - never heard it called Waitroses.
Sainsbury’s- the letter s is already there so no need for people to worry about this one.
Trivial Pursuit - needs an extra letter on most occasions apparently.
Stephen Hawking - Whether it is spelt Hawkins or Hawkings, apparently his name needs an extra s.
Marks and Spencer gets an s, BP doesn’t - what have they done wrong other than cause a huge oil slick and provided fuel that polluted the planet? Bit harsh.
It’ll take a while for some itemsYes it has now but only for the items I've received
Bainbridges, John Lewis's (I may have been guilty in the past)True - but it’s interesting seeing where people will add a letter s and where they will not.

Never heard John Lewis's like. The rule seems to be to stick an "s" sound on the end if there isn't one. Seems fair enough.Bainbridges, John Lewis's (I may have been guilty in the past)

From memory it was actually Bainbridge’s. I think the founder was Mr Bainbridge yonks ago. He used to live in Marris House which is next to the Richardson Rd student flats (or at least was when I lived there in 1992).Bainbridges, John Lewis's (I may have been guilty in the past)
But who makes the rules? I’m not arsed either way, just interested why people tend to add an “s” only sometimes.Doesn't sound right.

I have to admit I've been very impressed by the service from Fenwicks. The good were exquisitely wrapped and package. They also include a returns label if you want to send your stuff back
Definitely buying from them again
