It's up to the public to take her to task the next time they vote. Personally I can't stand her and I vote Tory anyway.
She won't be taken to task though as her constituents vote labour come what may regardless of their policies because they are so anti Tory.

makes sense now how you like the Saudis, they are murdering bastards like the Tories
@Roger - I am all for the freedom of speech but can we not just get rid of these tedious lost magpies.

haway man some are acceptable, but I do agree the wums need culling.

So basically you’re not all for freedom of speech ?

It's a Sunderland f***ing message board! It's not a general football one, it is club specific. Beyond football, we are essentially the same, and have the same life values and there are some good mag posters on SMB.

The UAE who own city, Qatar who own PSJ along with many of the Middle Eastern countries have a legal system in which Sharia law trumps civil law. They all have the stoning laws, same women's rights issues, the same persecution of gays.
They all take down dissidents on trumped up charges, use torture executions etc.
Granted only the Saudi's had Jamal khashoggi murdered but all those other countries have engaged in state sponsored murder and lets face it when it comes to state sponsored murder it's not like the west have clean hands either.

If you want to criticise the Saudi's then fine, do so and more power to you but you need to be equally vocal against all the other countries in the middles east that operate under the same ethos when it's put to you.
If you are going to say it's ok for the UAE to buy City and Qatar to buy PSJ but the Saudi's buying NUFC should not be allowed it shows your issue is being anti NUFC not pro human rights.
I'm not a human rights activist and I'm not even discussing sharia law, you're the only one banging on that.
Murdering journalists has nothing to do with sharia law or any other law in place in Qatar or Saudi Arabia.
If you know something about PSG or City owners ordering the killing of someone, enlighten us. Not that I'm a fan of them either.

Mansour is a member of the royal family and the deputy prime minister of the UAE how is that distancing the purchase from the government?
MBS isn't even going to be on the board so he is more removed from it than Mansour

They are both exactly the same thing a state buying into football to boost it's public image and increase its exposure

There's a big difference between Sheikh who is very closely connected to the Royal Family and faceless Government investment fund. Man City were regarded at first as being owned by a Sheikh, as opposed to a Government. They didn't attract nearly the same level of scrutiny as the Newcastle takeover has.

UAE's strategy was to boost it's public image and it worked. If the Saudis were trying to do the same, they've already failed.

If MBS isn't going to be on the board, then I can't imagine he's very happy with the extra scrutiny he's had in the last few weeks because someone linked to the takeover blabbed to the New York Times.

I think you need to be less insular, how do you know there was no local outcry with the Man City takeover? You are making an assumption

This has been the biggest non-Corona sports story in the country for the past month. There may have been some scrutiny, but I do not remember the level of media pressure pre-takeover when it was Man City. I barely remember it even being a story. I think we played them the day before they were taken over, and no-one was talking about it then. This is on a different level. Everything they do will be scrutinised to a ridiculous level. I struggle to see what the Saudis are going to gain from it from a positive publicity point of view.

f***ing MP wasting parliament time complaining Ashley wasnt spending a fortune on players and what a disgrace zero hours contracts are yet says fuck all about this. Disgraceful woman. I genuinely hope it falls through as now the whole football support in the UK knows for sure what scum these bastsrd Mags are. If they weren't the most hated before this they certainly are now. Scum every last one of them
Dear me, I thought we lost your kind in the 70's. Have you ever tried an anger management course?

Whichbis precisely what Sportwashing is. If they were successful, a lot of their horrors would be put on the back burner
