I sincerely hope SAFC is sold soon, we’re going to need some good news or the worst point in our history is only going to be magnified as they spend £100’s of millions
I think if the Newcastle sale goes through and they start spending, it will put huge pressure on Donald. It will only a matter of time for our sale !

Aye just read that. Would be a great first signing for them wouldn't it - someone already popular and proven...

I don't really want to say this, but it's looking very likely to go through this time and our historical rivalry will be dead in the water.

Do you think there's a chance that, if Newcastle do well, Sunderland by extension becomes more attractive to buyers? I hate to suggest we in some way need them to do well  but they could have an unwitting effect on us, in the long term?

No point selling unless it's to someone with a boat load of cash otherwise it's just groundhog Day or worse.

In my opinion I don't think so, I think it goes the other way and we become almost irrelevant.

With FFP being relaxed watch the Mags sign the likes of Koubally (sp) and Coutinho while we're getting ripped apart by some shit nobody from Accrington Stanley. I wonder who kids in Durham and the like are going to support, us or them 🤔
Like Koulibaly or Coutinho would go there. They could go to any champions league team. Especially Koulibaly.

Last year we were looking at new billionaire owners and promotion. Now we're stuck in league one without a takeover and Newcastle are looking at becoming the next man city. The Sunderland curse is real.

I was told last week it would be this Friday as well. Same source told me yesterday it's done, all complete including premiership ratification.
He said the formal announcement will be made once it is complete which is when the bank transfer goes through which he said typically takes 2-5 days.
that would make the announcement incoming sometime between tomorrow and Monday.

All that being said the guy that told me said he couldn't say who his source was so it could all well be a load of crap.

I'm of the same mind as always which is i will celebrate when and if it happens and not before.
I do have a rather special cigar waiting should the occasion arrive and obviously #cans
That cans patter is absolutely grim but then Mags have never been known for their patter.

Yep I think it's a transition in getting their team to be on the fringe of CL before the top players come on board. Sitting through this boom period is going to be horrible isn't it.

Apparently, a delegation from Pennywell Airport flew out to urge her to protest.

you're not the first to suggest that.
