It will just become tit for tat and before you know it bacon sales in Newcastle will stop (again) and with that red and brown sauce sales. Less sauce stains equals less washing and where does this end? The British economy even more in tatters.

If it's easy to separate you would protest whilst also enjoying the football? What you've described sounds like lumping them together
you would if you were a human rights activist trying to bring attention to the Saudi regime, yes you would do exactly that.
For my part I have never been a human rights activist, any activist for that matter. I have never taken part in any kind of protest unless you count chanting "get out of our club" in the ground with the rest of the fans.
Why would I suddenly start protesting the Saudi's now when I have never done it in the past.

Because until now, they were never realisically going to be the owners of your club.

If it falls through and they decided to buy Sunderland I reckon a lot of people would be delighted despite what they're saying at the minute.
Supporting the club doesn't mean you support their actions away from football.
If they do well for the club people won't have a problem with what else they do because it's easy to separate one from the other.

I think a lot would also have some concerns over it, their human rights record is pretty appalling

I didn't know Kashoggi was married but I would assume she would rather people talking about how the Saudi's murdered her husband not about there football team, I think very understandable that she would be against the deal.
As for ex footballers I would guess a bit of virtue signalling for the most part but if you give me a name i'll elaborate on the individual if i can.
I see. I give you a footballers name and you give me a reason why he is jealous. Is that it ? Ok, let’s start with Stan Collymore

Why would my moral stance change because they buy my club?
Unless i am mistaken that is what you have been accusing me of.
Your argument is now that the Saudi's are buying Newcastle my moral compass is out of the window and I suddenly don't care about their human rights violations.

My point is 6 months ago while i disapproved of the human rights violations I was not out demonstrating against them. In 6 months time i will still disapprove of their human rights violations and i still won't be out demonstrating.

I am curious because I genuinely have no idea, what is it precisely that you expect myself as a Newcastle fan to do should this take over go ahead, what is it you feel would be the right thing for me to do.

A concise one line post, replied to with such vgour.

Somone doth protest too much....

do you have an answer, what is it you expect me to do as a Newcastle fan.
You seem very quick to tell me I am doing the wrong thing yet very slow to tell me what is the right thing.

Nah, just pointing out, they weren't owners of your club.

Now they could well be, together with the baggage that accompanies them. What you do, is up to you.
