Stavely isn’t the money though, she’s been fronting investors.
The yanks apparently after us are the money. That’s the difference.
and they have no problem waiting..same as the saudis..these people think in decade ng time horizons..thats the wjole point of having such a fund..an extra year is not escessarily that relevant..

And what good has it done is so far? We are currently 7th in the table and spent fuck all in January.
By the way their ‘investment’ was pre covid.
SD will live or die by that investment. That’s his call if he spends it or doesn’t.
I know it was pre-Corvid it’s worth more now because of Corvid. No one has any income and we have £9m in the bank if it hasn’t been touched.
In fact, if we were to do the same investment as a Premier league club it’s value would be far far greater. I won’t put a figure as it would be a guess and you’d jump on it.

Let's face it, in our time (I'm 47) we've seen owners of footy clubs go from local businessesmen to sovereign wealth of nations. Fans don't matter at a local level anymore. I was explaining to a NUFC fan a while back that ashley could mitigate a total boycott just by selling another Perez. 50,000 x £500 quid ST = 25 mil.

This Saudi lot are backed by 320 thousand million dollars. Obviously they won't have access to all of it, but if an advisor reckons 500 mil is a decent bet for global success then they're asking for only 0.15% of their fund. I read somewhere that the prince has paintings worth more than NUFC.

Strange days indeed.

Salvator Mundi. $450 million. Bought by anonymous bidder who turned out to be a close ally and possible (read definite) stand-in for the ruler of Saudi Arabia, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. And now no one knows where it is...

Maybe his bathroom?

Whichever way you look at it Donald is still here and the yanks have invested a small amount. All this months after they arrived all singing all dancing.
As I said at that time I’ll believe it once it’s set in stone, that didn’t go down well as unless you believe there’s a pot of gold at end of rainbow you have no place on here.
My reservations were correct then and time will tell if they’re correct going forward.

We’ll see. I’m happy with the loan investment from FPP rather than having SD sell to whoever as, for him to go, FPP choose who is next so that is better than SD deciding who is the next owner(s) on his own as his judgement has - in my opinion - proven suspect.

183 pages of obsession
The irony you sad little man.
'Accomplished goal to influence Sunderland’s decline to 3rd tier football. Now content this is a permanent state.

'As a subversive defender of Simon Grayson’s management was able to rile the RTG supporter opinion to the extent they undermined said manager and players?

As an example of “nudge theory”, I humbly played my part.'
😂😂😂😂Jesus christ man

So if Donald pays back the loan why would FPP have any say in who Donald sells to?

no. its just if the loan is outsstanding at the time of the sale it triggers a change of ownership clause..and fpp can either demand the cahs back straight away at that point or agree somethig with the next owner..

So Donald can sell to someone who strike up an arrangement to pay off the remainder of 10m?
Once this has been paid back FPP are history in regards to owning ourselves. Providing they are going to get back their 10m will they be that bothered who takes over?

I am trying to stay away but it is an amusing interlude from home working to witness this faux moral crusade breaking out in Wearside.

If only your motives were more earnest than mere jealousy.

This particular thread is the greatest explosion of self righteous morality since Greta Thunberg visited the UN.

Anyway, people to speak to.

Keep up the humour.

no one gives a fuck aout legaue titles won a hundred years ago..they will know leeds as a champions league team..
and a top flight team next season..

Who knows Leeds as a champions league team?
They had a run to the semi final once, in 00/01.
In the first incarnation of the champions league in 92/93 they got knocked out in the second round.

well indeed. the point is,..they can demand the £9m or whatever any balance is..before a sale goes through (ie from donald) if they dont like the new owner..but if they do like the new owner..they can let it slide..or make a deal with the new owner..
i dont know 9maybe @Grumpy Old Man does) if they have the option to tur their £9m debt into shares if there is a change of ownership?
