Is this just a way of you putting a downer on the FPP as you have all along?

Your a strange so called fan.
No it seems you are saying what applies to a mags takeover doesn’t apply to our own.
Ours has dragged on and on and on, the mags is still in its infancy in comparison.

its an investment fund..they have to achieve a targeted return each year or else..and this has been a tough year for them..ie they need a few good ones after the recent run of absolute shit in which they have invested..

Depends how you measure return. If company x sponsors SAFC advertising that costs a million & sees sales increase by half a million the year after, but reputation improve, has it been a bad investment?

The thing that doesn't up add in all of this, Newcastle are not safe. We could easily get dragged into a relegation battle if the season restarts.

Why would anymore take that risk? Not matter how rich you are? Why would you not just wait until the season is finished? It's not that you can even invest in the squad at the moment.

Expecting to hear that it's off any day now.

The morale stance by fans on here is certainly faux. Ask them who the vote for - it will either be Labour (Led us to an unjust war that killed hundreds of innocent people and sold arms to the terrorists) or Tory (continues to sell arms to terrorists).

Yet suddenly they appear to give a damn and aren't big enough to admit it's purely because they are taking over us. There was not a single thread on here opposing the Saudi owners of Sheff Utd. Go to the politics board and barely anyone mentions it there either. They were more than happy to turn a blind eye until now.
I wish your moral stance was to keep off this f***ing forum

sunderland could cost £200m betwee purchase price ad getting to premier league..and doesnt make a profit in premier league..
thats a crap deal for anyone..

newcastle is already in the premier league..and makes a profit...very different conotations..
So what you’re saying is Newcastle are a bigger club than we are?

This.

To a Saudi who doesn't care then I'd say yes.

The combined wealth of this FPP lot were in the billions yes? The cash required to buy Sunderland was as much a drop in the ocean for them surely as buying mags would be for the Arabs.
Maybe FPP aren’t that bothered after all.

If FPP really, really wanted us they’d have bought us. If they want / wanted to get us for cheaper at a later stage, with their levels of wealth, we’d have to question whether their intentions were all that great anyway.

That said, I’d still be far more hopeful about our future if it was to be announced they’d rekindled their interest in a full takeover and a deal had been agreed.

Doubt it. Only the top 6 team supporters will be unhappy that their exclusive club is getting a new member. I'd love for another team to break into it I just wish it wasnt f***ing Newcastle

I think the opposite will be true. The top 6 will see this takeover as making things more competitive and more interesting, while all others will see it as yet more evidence of the exponential depletion of football as a societal game.

They’re taking the risk now because there’s a much bigger news story going on. Keeps any grumbling of their questionable human rights practices to a minimum

Its done man. Contracts signed. You arent getting relegated...its almost impossible.

I didnt even compare them it was you who brought it up.
Yes as you seem to believe one rule applies to one and one to another.
By the way it seems the mags deal is nearing completion. Sky sports claims contracts exchanged and deposits paid. Seems they’re more keen on the mags than the Yanks are on us.

I think if we had of went up they would have so they've put the 10m charge on and given him one more chance.

This corona could end up forcing us into their hands if he cant repay.

At moment not really to fussed havent really missed football so just have to wait and see what happens after this virus is hopefully sorted soon.

They would have expected to have a very good idea by now in normal circumstances. Maybe it's why they are reluctant to agree to £40m more, who knows.

bigger? niot talking of that at all..but newcastke is a vastly better investmet now..frankly newcastle today is for sale for about ten times sunderland..
i thik i that secnario..sunderland is over priced relative to newa=castle..and thats today..

No... I said due to the extreme wealth and reasoning behind it.

You brought up the FPP and as usual try to drag it down as if it's not happening. You stalked reiver like a mad man to the point it was as if you didnt want it to happen. Still seems that way now as well.

I'll say it again your a strange fan now please go away.

Let's face it, in our time (I'm 47) we've seen owners of footy clubs go from local businessesmen to sovereign wealth of nations. Fans don't matter at a local level anymore. I was explaining to a NUFC fan a while back that ashley could mitigate a total boycott just by selling another Perez. 50,000 x £500 quid ST = 25 mil.

This Saudi lot are backed by 320 thousand million dollars. Obviously they won't have access to all of it, but if an advisor reckons 500 mil is a decent bet for global success then they're asking for only 0.15% of their fund. I read somewhere that the prince has paintings worth more than NUFC.

Strange days indeed.
A painting and a yacht worth more than them. I cant afford a bloody freddo unless its payday

I wouldn't bother mate, seems he just looks at the topic, see's what opinion most have and goes against it. Strange.
