I wouldn't say default top ten, but mid table 8-12 a bit like the mags probably. Id say from your list Palace would be smaller but potentially could be as big in the future and might be a better buy.

i think a potetial buyer would look at leeds, a team that has been in latter stages of champs league..and place a prremium on them compared with palace or newcastle or southhampton, or sunderland, or burnley, or bournemouth, for example.

Between Newcastle and Leeds are; Forest, Wolves, Blackburn, Sunderland and Sheffield Wednesday.

Leeds not played in the top flight for 16 years.

no one gives a fuck aout legaue titles won a hundred years ago..they will know leeds as a champions league team..
and a top flight team next season..

I'm a Newcastle supporter, I have a lot of problems with the Saudis coming in. They are a horrible bunch.

I not sure if I would even watch them on a dodgy stream, never mind put money directly into the Club.

However, the vast majority either aren't bothered, ignoring it or trying to justify it by highlighting that the UK still does business in Saudi.

I guess this would be the same for any bunch of football supporters. SAFC would be no different.

yes because the reason they have £260bn (they dont) is that they worry aout the £40m..they arent a charity..they have atarget rate of return to achieve on the invested capital every year,....

and this year they have take a bath on some of their big investments such as in softbank..

No proably not because I live in the real world when it comes to money. Have to be careful, I'm not set. Can't compare any of us to someone who has virtually unlimited money like those saudi fellas. The closest comparison would be one of us arguing about a quid for a year about something they wanted thought was only worth 80P. Some stubborn people out there would do it out of principles. Most people would just pay the quid because they want the item quickly and think 20P isn't worth their time.

If thought it was going to be an exciting project with massive potential then they wouldn't miss out on it for relative peanuts. They'd surely want to make it theirs and get going.

Fair play for being honest and I agree entirely with your last point, we would be trying to justify it too.

The problem Newcastle fans have is they've shown plenty of faux outrage at Ashley for his Sports Direct practices etc. on a supposedly moral basis so in theory they have set a precedent, but I'm not sure many will continue it on.

The difference being here however is that it is entirely possible by protesting and voicing dissatisfaction about the ways he runs his business, to change it. Parliament could pass a bill with regards to zero hour contracts for example. They did investigate the way he treats employees and cited many cases.

We have no hope at all of holding the Saudi state accountable. It's not hypocritical - we just don't stand a chance.

Two wrongs don't make a right.
