Investors often look for uniqueness as well. Look at red bull in Germany. Leipzig? They'd often rather mop up there vs buy 1860 munich. Man City exception obviously. Like it or not Newcastle buy is bigger news than a more pragmatic Leeds buy if impact is what you're after.
red bull a special case as they want alot..clubs have to chage their ame right?
a really ig club wouldt be willking to do that.

But @mag in peace has convinced himself its just Sunderland fans concerned with this, because they're Sunderland fans.

For some context this is the bloke who applauded the takeover attempt when it had Man Utd involved and posted something about how wonderful it was that boxing was being picked up by the Saudi's. The bloke is a massive f***ing hypocrite.

Ok so you meant a great history based on a specific period, when do people care about trophies from? 30 years ago? 50 years? 60 years?
their lifetimes...really rich fiootball fas probably remmeber leeds being in the champios league..and newcastle..

they remmebr sunderland being shit and relegated a lot..they have o substanital memories of burnley or palace..

Everyone would be the same, mind, I have no idea about this takeover, are they planning on spending like crazy? Seem they were linked with Allegri and Poch. Lucky bastards.
Plank it’ll not be the all singing all dancing regime they seem to think mind.
They’ll have more to spend and shouldn’t be having to look over their shoulder at the relegation places so much but it’ll take massive massive investment to become a major player in premier league which is what they seem to think will happen.

The Saudi state also owns large parts of the newspaper he works for but that doesnt seem to bother him at all.

Leeds haven't been in the Champions league for nearly 20 years, not even the top flight for over 15 years. I don't think that will make much difference either way tbh.
They would be interested in Leeds because of the growth potential, good support, big catchment area etc.

all of those things are a factor of course,,..but its aout brad as well..leeds brad still good..they radiate "big club" whatever league they are in..

Will definitely go ahead. Lot of mags will be ecstatic until they realise they won't be the next Man City when the spending will be modest at best. Why has it taken so long? Why wouldn't they just pay the 350m up front if they had so much money?
If you were buying a house worth £200k, would you just pay £240k for the craic?
