Whatever happens in the wake of their expected resurgence is equally the fault of the people mismanaging SAFC. Just as it was in 1992.

Tbh if people want to jump on the mag band wagon (again) they are clearly not real sunlund fans.. Good riddance..

Of course it will happen and probably even more so given where we are. As others have said in the 90's it wasn't the staunch fans that turned it was all of the floating people flocked to them, in the north east but also in other parts of the country, can probably add other parts of the world to that this time.

<<Just hypothetical deflection this. Not about us.....
The reality is amnesty international has condemned the new Newcastle owners for human right abuses, murder of a journalist critical of the Saudi regime, torture, human trafficking, lack of women’s rights, capital punishment.....the list goes on and on.....
The hypocrisy is when Newcastle fans and MP Chi Onwurah were openly criticising Mike Ashley because of zero hour contracts........but they’re welcoming the new owners with open arms because of his wealth. This is nothing to be proud of. FACT

In a nutshell.

This, Newcastle had the resurgence in the 90s which put them on the world map where they came within inches of a trophy but gained a load of new generation support and it looks like its going to happen again. We all know they whinge that they are the most under acheiving club in the modern era where as we all know is wrong as WE have got to be the most under acheiving club in world football from been one of the top 3 clubs in the land for 50-60 years. The only way we have been put on the map in recent times is for out misery, it is a similar situation to the early 90s where we both are as clubs tbh.

We have multi-billionarre people invested in the club and a billionarre board member........they need to get there arses in gear quick and do something because we cannot go through another decade like the 90s again.

Couldn't resist tweeting Ms.Onwurah:

@ChiOnwurah Following the House of Commons debate "effectiveness of regulation of NUFC" on 24/01/19, can I ask if the rumoured takeover of the club by way of a Saudi Arabian PIF majority holding would give you the reassurance the previous Ashley regime appeared unable to ?

About time we heard her opinion if she feels so strongly about their ownership that she can justify taking up nearly 20 minutes of parliamentary time.

If the mags are happy with blood money been pumped into their club then let them be happy. They obviously have no morals. They were outraged with the way Ashley went on with his businesses and their MP couldn’t speak enough about it. Haven’t heard a word from her on this subject.

They were outraged with us playing Johnson when he was under suspicion and then condemning our fans when he was found guilty. They were outraged with us hiring an alleged fascist.

Don’t get me wrong, I’d love for millions to be pumped into us but blood money? No thanks.

can I ask if you were outraged by the continuation of playing Johnson and the hiring of Di Canio or did you think it was just rival fans taking a moral high ground ?

Johnson was presumed innocent until he was found guilty.
What did Di Canio actually do wrong, just because you don't agree with his political beliefs doesn't mean he isn't entitled to them.

Your new owners are f***ing murderers.

tbf whilst Adam Johnson was innocent the club continued playing him, when the justice system found him guilty of grooming he was promptly fired.

But make no mistake Newcastle’s new owners are no way comparable to that situation.
Newcastle are welcoming murderous, human trafficking, slave labouring, corruption loving, torture using, war mongering, dirty money to your club........and it’s all been overlooked because of the wealth.
Birds of a feather flock together

im not looking to compare situations. I was picking up on point made that rival fans always take exception to rival fans situations.

She won’t reply and you won’t get her to speak on it, it was a popularity play by her and she should’ve been ashamed at wasting time on it.

im not looking to make comparisons. I’m highlighting the faux outrage that rival fans suddenly acquire.
