Travelling abroad again

I’ve got a weekend in Copenhagen booked for June, that was meant to be for the Euros.

Do I have any chance of actually going on it.

Denmark seems to have handled this much better than us, so I’m hoping it will be open again by then.
Yep with a 14 day self isolation on arrival into Denmark, coming from a high risk area like the UK.

Would they not be more expensive? Every man, woman and child are going to be clammin for a holiday once the restrictions are lifted.

yep air fares will be up youd think

less planes, possible social distancing within planes too

on the flip side

we are going to find a lot of people will not return to doing whatthey didbefore this

don’t underestimate how much this will knock peoples confidence

I wonder when people think this realistically possible, say just within Europe for example.

in 2020 you think?

Few things later in the year sort of work wise September and October, not holidays mind, but not remotely expecting to go like.

Hard to tell how long places can realistically stay locked up, if they can afford to, not like a vaccine is coming anytime soon, so you'd think that countries will need contingency plans.

Wonder if eventually you will get a health certificate or something along those lines.

Any thoughts? obviously just opinions like. Making me realise how you take free travel for granted, and all the places should have gone when had the chance!
Think India next January is a goner mate :(

Tourism accounts for 16% of GDP in Spain and 14% in Italy both will be well fooked if travel ban continues into the summer, which it looks odds on to do.

According to this Italy not expected to allow travel until March 2021

I'd be amazed if thats true.

You can still travel to Italy now can;t you?

My mate did few weeks ago for an emergency anyway

Sep/Oct not the worst target

you live there though right?

I feel that places may open, but a bit like when you travel long haul you give a reason, apartment address etc, health certificate etc

thats how i think it will go

As there will be no vaccine, there is no end in sight, so they will have to come up with some measures to get economies moving

Well yeah I am talking about all countries, not just from UK perspective.

If peple aren't flying by July 2021 then society will have collapsed.

yes i live in France- we have discussed this and im very wary of going straight to Italy as she lives just outside the Hot Zone between Milan and Turin

I disagree, I think people will take a while to get back to normal and will be wary of travel. Many people will have less money and businesses they need to get back off the ground etc.

Slightly off topic but realistically how long can all these planes sit parked up on runways before maintenance starts to become a major issue?
