I wonder when people think this realistically possible, say just within Europe for example.

in 2020 you think?

Few things later in the year sort of work wise September and October, not holidays mind, but not remotely expecting to go like.

Hard to tell how long places can realistically stay locked up, if they can afford to, not like a vaccine is coming anytime soon, so you'd think that countries will need contingency plans.

Wonder if eventually you will get a health certificate or something along those lines.

Any thoughts? obviously just opinions like. Making me realise how you take free travel for granted, and all the places should have gone when had the chance!

cant see any major holidays running in 2020 or well into 2021 but youd think theyd have to open up more flights to the major cities world wide

Yeah, holidays as we know it, I cant see it, but can places survive without any visitors

An example is my mate who is a photographer has an apartment booked in September/October for Lisbon, for his work, things like that, I wonder if its even possible. Not a holiday but like a work/social trip.

Wonder if you will be allowed in if you follow their own laws, social disitancing and resritctions

or will countries say nobodoy is allowed in, or 14 day isolation etc.

I think any country will be reluctant to let Brits in
Imagine being quarantined for 7 days each end.

Travel will not happen in 2020.

That won't happen coming into Britain like, it isnt even happening now.

im hoping to get back to france by sept/oct ish - g/f lives in Italy so as soon as Italian/french border opens at Ventimillia she can drive over (again guessing at sept time)

You could say vice versa. Should we be letting people in from say the likes of America, Spain etc depending on if this virus somehow dies down.

Its hard to say at the moment. Ive got holiday booked for July 2021 and at the moment got very little confidence it will be allowed to go ahead

Sep/Oct not the worst target

you live there though right?

I feel that places may open, but a bit like when you travel long haul you give a reason, apartment address etc, health certificate etc

thats how i think it will go

As there will be no vaccine, there is no end in sight, so they will have to come up with some measures to get economies moving

Well yeah I am talking about all countries, not just from UK perspective.

If peple aren't flying by July 2021 then society will have collapsed.

I’ve got a weekend in Copenhagen booked for June, that was meant to be for the Euros.

Do I have any chance of actually going on it.

Denmark seems to have handled this much better than us, so I’m hoping it will be open again by then.

I can't imagine so, not people flying from the UK like, we are pretty much at the centre of the crisis.

Would be like letting flights in from Wuhan in Feb.

Tbh we have w holiday to Mexico in August, however the flight is to Atlanta for a layover . I really cannot see the yanks not allowing flights in all the way to August . Mexico have put their country in the hands of god, soreted then.

This year is a write off. No hope of getting away in the summer. Have accepted that a while ago.

On the plus side it has been a great year for the planet and slowing climate change for a bit. Sadly I think flights will see record high numbers once this settles down and we'll begin up eat ourselves again. We can't go back to what we were like, this is such an opportunity to re-evaluate.
