The trophy comment is irrelevant to the comment I made about them. Having said that it does make the support their team gets more remarkable.

Massive advocate of the heritage of the North East of England and bringing inward investment into the region.

As you suggest I have to rise above petty rivalries and actively seek out the results of both teams.

There is a lot of events that need to take place before this takeover comes to pass.

News outlets that would not normally print gossip and rumour, internationally, have presented the takeover as a deal in motion. Indeed it was in the FT on Tuesday.

Interestingly, one notable exception is the Sunderland Echo a newspaper of record and bellwether for fact based news.

They have not published the takeover story, at all, which may well suggest that a lot of us have got ahead of ourselves in committing 124 pages, on this thread, to the story.
