This isn't as big a deal as it used to be. There are several clubs who are absolutely minted in English football now - even Wolves are  There's intense competition for European places and combined with all this money in the English game it can lead to overspend on players who are not actually that good a la Everton. Then of course there's FFP which will slow restructing down and means you can't just spend whatever your owner has. This would be an opportunity if it goes through but Chelsea 04/05 this is not.
No but Newcastle, a bit like Liverpool, is an incendiary place once the club and fan base are in it together. It is good for the well being and personality of the city.

Newcastle are nothing like Liverpool
Traditional working class cities with a strong cultural and music heritage. For better or worse if you Mentioned the cities to people in the 4 corners of the world the response would be football.

I’ve been travelling 30 years and that is true. Liverpool, Glasgow and Newcastle have a lot of similarities.

If you think our food bank collections aren’t valid or should be discredited in any way because some morons sang some songs in Sam Jack’s a few years back then more fool you tbh.

Austerity affects us all and poverty shaming is abhorrent. Having an increased amount of foodbanks in a place as economically powerful as the UK is an embarrassment.

Where did I say they should be discredited? Stop twisting people’s words man, Jesus Christ!

If you mentioned Newcastle to people in 4 corners of the globe most would of never ever heard of them

Posting a laughing smiley after mentioning the work done by those that organised the food bank donations doesn’t suggest you’re giving it a lot of credit tbh. Linking the shite songs some dafties sing alongside it and suggesting the two are linked is ridiculous, man.

OK. This statement may not age well.

Look I have a keen interest in both cities so cheap point scoring is not in my interest.

No offence, but given how wrong you got our takeover with fpp I'll wait and see what happens.

I never claimed it was a done deal, even if Riv did. I did think, as did our owner, that it was 95% certain after the Wimbledon game they were all at. But a deal isn't a deal until the ink is drying on the contract. The fact remains that Newcastle are lending the buyer money to buy them. And I have read the charge document. Have you?
Exactly it’s unreal how much he thinks he knows. Been shown to know absolutely nothing.

OK - you do the analysis of the next set of accounts. Give me something to laugh about during lockdown.

It's a strange time for anyone to be buying a football club given that the game as we know it has an uncertain future. Personally I don't think the season will be completed. Who knows when we'll be allowed to walk back into stadiums which will have an impact on Revenue. It could be weeks, months, years before eveything is back to how it was. When will a vaccine be ready? A safe vaccine could be 18 months away. Behind closed doors isn't really going to work either.

You've already lied about the Reuben brothers being the majority shareholders. I've not seen one article that's suggested it.

You are allowed to say you don't know everything you know. You'd get a lot more credit than trying to act like you know stuff you clearly don't

You get more wrong than right fella, pack it in a little bit. You claimed Donald would be great aswell and he bought the club with parachute payments and look how this has turned out for you. I bet if we dig back far enough you probably thought Short was great too. Truth is you just don't know.

f***ing cheered me right up this @Zig81
Listen you fuckin prick, these last 3 weeks I’ve had 2 relatives suffering from this horrendous pandemic, I’ve been helping out my vulnerable, fragile and high at risk relatives, my wife has lost her job and a close mate who I served with has committed suicide.

You've managed to post more in the last 12 hours than I have in the past 6 weeks, now fuck off and don’t bother me, football is one of the last things on my mind you knacker.
