This isn't as big a deal as it used to be. There are several clubs who are absolutely minted in English football now - even Wolves are  There's intense competition for European places and combined with all this money in the English game it can lead to overspend on players who are not actually that good a la Everton. Then of course there's FFP which will slow restructing down and means you can't just spend whatever your owner has. This would be an opportunity if it goes through but Chelsea 04/05 this is not.

The impression given in the press recently is that it's the Reubens who will be majority shareholders who will be majority shareholders. Of course, that's just press speculation.

Apart from almost every single press report since the news was broke by the Telegraph a few weeks ago? If you take alook at everything today, the likes of the FT & Telegraph are reporting it's a 80/10/10 split.

Just cling on marra. You’ve missed the boat. FFP means you’ll be stuck in mid-table from now until the end of time. A perennial also-ran just like the rest of us.

So you didn't care enough to find out about them and their recent success but suddenly do now because it's us? At least you admit your faux outrage is purely down to it being us.

You never asked me the question mate , so I kind of need it before I can answer it?

Where did I admit anything apart from I didn’t know Sheff Utd were owned by a Saudi owner? I was away for the start of the season, why would I take an interest in Sheff Utd or any club whilst I’m away? Plus there’s no faux outrage, you’ve cane to that conclusion on your own. I was merely highlighting your fans inconsistent logic to having a dig at Ashley for his running of his companies, but quite happy to be potentially taken over by a family that’s got blood on its hands. The fickle nature of football fans!

There is in all NE football even a tad in boro but when we are both in PL it benefits both clubs and cities.
I'd always prefer us both to do well in the PL together derby days are unreal!

I like the rivalry I'm a Geordie only time I go to Sunderland is for the match so you can imagine the shit I got growing up.

Most fans know now though since older are sensible know a lot of good lads who are mag fans but then you still get the idiots like @Gorillacop cop who are proper cringe worthy fans in his 50s too

We have them both sides though absolute weapons
No arguments there...the North East should be up there with the lot of them.....
Nowhere else in the country would you get the gates both clubs get with our totally lack of success.

What makes you think you'll be any more successful than Wolves? You're not assuming success are you?

I would absolutely love to have Wolves' level of success over the next few years. They're an ambitious club and that's all I've ever wanted NUFC to be.
