Think there's a lot of different information out there. I'm sure when we were took over, Donald and Methven came in at the same time though. Despite what some people think, I don't really see that there's a lot of intent from the big-money players to splash loads of cash about. Could be wrong like. I still think it's weird how it's all being played out in the media too.
 

We've seen it all before when a certain Mr Mike Ashley took over that lot, remember the Photo's of him mixing with their fans in the away end etc. That ended up going well...

Why, why, why does it always have to be like this. Look man, every club has some helmets attached, Newcastle, Sunderland, every single one. Including racist bellends.

People are dying a thousand a day man and still some people are arsed about painting fans of a different team based on a few idiots.

Also as for the takeover...believe it when I see it.....

I mean they aren’t the new owners yet if at all, and sadly as fans it’s not up to us who buys the club is it. The days of ethics in football are gone. We as fans have to just go along for the ride really.

Neither the UAE or Qatar have particularly good human rights records and essentially own football clubs. Neither do China who will no doubt have their toes in the water at some point. It’s sad but it’s the way it is.

One thing I've never understood is why she's involved? I mean, is she not some sort of door-opener? A bit of a fixer? Might be wrong. I've just never understood why people as rich as those seemingly behind the current talks would need a Staveley to open doors for when. You'd think they'd just buy it without her getting involved

Maybe they see her as the sort of corporate acceptable face of it? Especially if the Saudis are involved and worried about their image maybe? Maybe like you say she just links people together? Sadly I don’t move in those circles to know!

You might be right. Just seems strange, not sure how it's been reported now but previously its sounded like she'd basically get people together, the club would be bought and she'd get a percentage share for her efforts. I get that if she has some great link to Ashley and was the one who could smooth it over, but seemingly they don't get on. And like I say the people linked have so much money surely they could get a meeting with Ashley any time they wanted, they hardly need her help on that score, and certainly wouldn't want to give up a percentage of future ownership in return! Guess things will become clearer soon like. To be fair the mags getting bought by some rich buggers was always going to happen eventually, safc just need to get our own house in order. As long as you win nowt I don't mind ;)

I remember reading somewhere that she wants to run her own football club? Be a director of some sorts.

I suppose the details will become clearer if/when it happens. I’m so nonplussed by all of it to be honest as football seems so so unimportant right now.
