Bigger queues today.

After most issuing profit warnings earlier in the year.

Tesco in particular are taking the piss.

just as our reliance on supermarkets was beginning to wane they get another helping hand.
I'll be honest. I'm as guilty as most for jumping in the car and going for a few bits. This last few weeks we've just used our local shop which is only 200 yards from my house. The lad that runs it is spot on. He's kept his shelves full and hasn't added a penny on his prices. Once this is over he'll be getting a lot more custom from me.

I bit the bullet and popped out earlier (first time in 2 weeks) to get essentials - milk, bread, eggs , fresh fruit veg and salad. The queue at Morrisons was crazy. And then once in the store it was madness. Far too many people allowed in at once. Folks standing chatting and totally ignoring the guidelines re social distancing. And unfortunately people are still taking the piss re shopping for essentials. There were 4 blokes, all together with 4 trollies and all they had in them were trays and boxes of lager and cider. One was quite openly talking about them having a party over the weekend and “no c**t was gonna stop them”.
This is the problem we have. Ignorant, selfish fools who are blatantly ignoring the rules and don’t give a shit about anyone but themselves.
It really shows what a problem we have in todays society.

They would be the ones shouting loudest for help should they contract the virus.
Fancy having an elderly relative denied a ventilator in favour of one of these.

You sound f***ing FURIOUS

I amazed by these queues,

I am in a city centre and there are no queues, guess these are in more suburban areas?

The Sainsbury's at wessington way probably can't believe what's happening,. Its usually quite empty even at peak times, no one really seems to shop there and that's why I liked calling in pre lock down . Went down today to pickup a prescription and the car park is rammed and the queue to get in was right around the car park.this is on a Thursday afternoon, what's f***ing wrong with people? A security guard got assaulted their last Friday aswell. Really doing my tits in this lockdown

I'm.in a queue right now.. it's ok but I had a right go at this woman.. mask and gloves on.. put the trolley back and then slung her gloves Into the empty trolley.. I shouted at her as she walked away and she walked back and took them back to her car...
Good on you Epps

In response to OP, the queues were always going to be bigger ahead of a 4 day weekend. Thankfully I've managed to get a couple of click n collect slots over the next 10-14 days so I should be able to avoid the supermarkets. Also, as stated elsewhere, I've been going to local shops/garages for bits and pieces as they are usually a) well stocked and b) empty - couldn't find bbq charcoal online anywhere. My local garage had a skipful

Aldi @ Pelaw, queue round the car park. Well spaced out. Security on the door. Beggar in car park is now a permanent fixture. Been there a few days now according to Mrs R, and a very nice car right next to him every time my missus has passed. In a spot that is only ever used when car park is packed. Bit suspicious that.

Liddl, just over the road, much shorter queue, because they are about 2 ft apart.

I was in the queue there about an hour and a half ago, it wasn't too much bigger than last week. People follow the rules outside but inside its difficult to stay 2 meters apart when people lean passed you to get things off the shelves.

I've heard that Tesco aren't giving priority to NHS workers any longer even in the priority for NHS workers hour. Seems a bit off to me.

It was to allow them to get stuff when no stock on the shelves.. now they are stocked not so much a priority.. I doubt most are available between 8 and 9 in the morning anyway

was tempted to head up craster early dawes the day for me easter kippers there mate but I looked online and neil's only gone and closed the smokehouse and shop to protect his staff and their families. don't like the sound of these queues at the supermarkets so prollies make do with what I've got in there. it's only easter ffs
