where has he gone like...still out there promoting the club and still a shareholder..

not as involved as he was like..but still there unfortuantely..

niall quinn lives in kildare marra...as do many of the other shareholders from that era..can i be one of those instead of ellis?

i dont have any isnide info..anything i post is basically in the public domain..i think i posted one thing on here about what charlie was told when he bought safc..and thats the only isnide thing ive ever had.,,,

he worekd for spurs and arsenall..im not saying they are nescesaarily biogger than safc..but they are pretty big..
aportsman failed yes..seem like they didnt do much due dilligence on it..
quin y has had a bunch of failures as well..and im not sure he has ever run a successful business..

donald did get east;eigh higher..they dfinsihed in the highest league positon ever under him..which was higher than the 6th tier..

though it must be said its a poor return for the £12m he spent

as a sunderland fan id rather methven and donald fucked off as well..they are not very good at running this club..

the £30m number was a projection based on what bain told him..

The accounts were posted in April 2019 , the loss posted then CM would have been aware it was an actual amount and not a projected figure.

He would have been aware of that amount whilst being filmed chastising employees for not knowing the interest accrued on the debt.

I notice you haven’t replied regarding his alleged cutting of costs back to a break even figure before the accounting period had finished ?

Cherry pick what information that suits your argument there’s a good lad.

thed interst figure was a matter of public record wasnt it?
the £30m loss was a projection from bain about the following season..actually it was a £26m loss or thereabouts..but bain said but then you have the papar money so its profitable..
but those seem to have been operating profit and loss figures quoted by bain..ie exclusing legacy creditors on tranfer fees and the fact the sbc corproation needed to be paid..

i didnt know they were trying to vreak even in 2019? they budgeted to lose £3m at operating level didnt they? but then the st sales in their first season were much higher than expected so they lost much less than expected at operating level...then they said there were a few nasties like legal cases which cropped up..
i think one of the dorectors, now departed..implied a £2m annual operating loss in his one full year there..now how that shakes out when one off costs like legal fees and legacy transfers and player sales etc i dont know..but a £2m operating loss seems a reasonable figure for year one f their ownership..but now its closer to breakeven..and they arent cutting costs but adding headcount..
Kildaremackem are you on linkedin?
yes..but its confiedntial who i am..im not connected to the club or its owners (i mean i am on linkedin and connected to them there but not in "real life)

Not a big fan of him, but spoke the truth mainly from what I saw.
Got frustrated a bit and forgot to say please 2 or 3 times, but painting him as a modern day Vlad the Impaler cos he was a bit sharp with that Irish lass over the BD crowd is laughable in my book.
He might have even apologised to her later, who knows? Has no one on here lost temper with Mother/wife/daughter/girlfriend and then apologised later like?

Oh ffs man, like they knew what was going on.

From what I saw of that lass, the Pope would have got frustrated with her, never mind Charlie.
Exactly, she couldnt even feign interest knowing the cameras were there.

She made it obvious she couldn't give a toss.

As they say down here.
How do you create a successful small business?
Buy a big one and put Charlie in charge.

im not sure safc is a smaller business nowthan it was when methven came in...organic turnover will certainly be higher..

It’s irrelevant though. They bought it to make a quick buck and they failed.
Even with the playing budget they failed again not getting promoted. They failed sticking by a Manager that had lost the idea on how to win a game.
Yes they took on a club in a financial mess so why did they take it on knowing just that? We both know the answer.
They have failed the loyal fans of Sunderland who now are left struggling coming to terms with the direction of their football club.
The way they got stitched up with the Grigg transfer fee was amateurish.

how do you know the bought for a quick buck? they tunred down several quick bucks..

methven had nowt to do with the failure to get promotion.,he had no say in jhow the football side was run..
doanld fucked up on the football side..as was inevitable givemn his previous track record osf spending vast sums and failing..

Any companies set of accounts only state the financial position at the end of the financial period accounted for.

They would take into account any increase or decrease in income and therefore profitability.

Accounts show a £26.4m loss , not a £30m loss for the period ending 2 months after he became a director , something he could have little control over tbh.

There are NO accounts posted for the financial year ending July 2019 so we cannot see if the £30m loss turned round to a break even figure as he claimed in the programme.

I’ll be very polite and suggest that when he claimed the break even figures he wouldn’t have had the accounts finalised by then anyway .

I wouldn’t believe everything he said on STID2 , it’s up to you and others if they do.

Any company the size of Sunderland should be producing monthly management accounts. By the end of the 2018/19 season, they should have had a pretty shrewd idea of the likely year end position, not least because clubs have to file projections for the current and next season's figures in April for SCMP purposes.

Could just contact 1 person to end the accusations if youre not Charlie that is.

I'd not trust that Davison bloke to take the bins out. They sharp sussed him out and got rid quickly realising he was a poor appointment

what person and how...im happy to do it...tell me how...i mean im eager to preserve my privacy but im sure there is a way to do that and still show im not methven or anyone connected..?

Have you watched STID2? Maja wanted away. If we had made him stay he would have just downed tools.

Personally, i didnt get the impression that he would have "downed tools". of course its a matter of opinion and we'll truly never know.

On another point I often think if we hadn't got Grigg but still weren't promoted then there would have been legions on here saying that its all Donalds fault for not digging deep and getting a proven L1 scorer.

Simply answer the question on the motive as to why they purchased the Club?
No different mind you to those that have previously dragged my Club almost to its knees.
