Tony Davison vs Methven -

TD didn't come across very well to me. He was very quiet, uninspiring and seemed to lack confidence. He just sat there offering nothing back while CM spouted off and when he spoke to the camera he spoke poorly.

As a Sunderland lad and the credentials he arrived with, I had high hopes of him being a major success. He may have improved some things behind the scenes, but, ultimately I'm not surprised he "left" his post.

True enough. Doesn't come across like he offered anything still
I know him so I follow his Twitter and LinkedIn. Basically says he looks like Charlie's lackey in the show. The thing with the interest payment was from a presentation he had actually written but Charlie had delivered verbally so unlikely that the media team would have remembered the specifics weeks later. Basically admitted he forgot the number as they tended to use operating costs as a KPI rather than interest payments but "Should have still remembered it!"
Seems pretty relaxed about it being in the name of good telly. Would have liked more about Trafalgar Square and less about Maja

He's barely in it, only showed about 10 words. They were always going to show TV Gold with Charlie rather than someone getting on with the job.

They walked into a shit show, they must have realised it assumed that some of the people there were partially responsible along with Ellis.
It needed a clear out, but only when it was understood what the new structure had to be and who.
I don't blame Charlie for some of his anger, it was needed , we just don't know how much was for TV.
Critically though they didn't have a clue how bad it was or what was coming at them.

I didn't get that at all. Methven seemed to be key to be fair, but because he went to Eton, wears chinos and told a few fans some home truths he's become a hate figure. He had everything spot on for what I've seen. Certainly not the problem character many had us believe he was.

But again SAFC start a change and then shit themselves mid way through the process.

IF they really want to deliver change they need to follow it to the end, I agree with what you said, but through the change at the top and the change in how the communication / engagement is we have rattled a few early doors and then reverted to type, crackers.

There would be no need for any soul searching if the lad who we chased and paid top dollar for had delivered, he seemed to be full of confidence in his ability, no one could have foreseen a goal drought. Narrow margins eh?.

We mix up carrot and stick, frequently.

He’s a complete wanker who should’ve been nowhere near our magnificent club .

he was a major success..the spped with which he got re employed in a simialrm role elsewhere shows his repuation remians high,,

The answer is right there in front of you. You’ve answered mine.
I'll ask for the last time, and then I'm done. Why is it ok to swear in front of men and not women?
Hint: your answer probably shouldn't include military training or pimps.

All I want is your actual, honest opinion - I'm not berating you.

That’s a different question
