Tony Davison vs Methven -

People saying Methven was a success. What exactly did he do that was successful? Cut costs? They couldn't have done anything else. They didn't have the money to carry it through and mentioned more than once EFL restrictions on spending. Him and Donald didn't even succeed to their own measure, let alone ours. If they did they wouldn't be here.

You can do everything possible to take things forward but you cannot control what goes on once that whistle blows.

I like how he pushed the attendance issue as that is so vital for revenue, then Donald goes and pays £3M for Grigg.
You couldn’t make it up, by far the most ridiculous thing since the change over.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing . I didn’t see one post on here complaining about the Grigg transfer at the time in fact it was the quite the opposite.
On the evening of that transfer window the consensus on here was that we simply had to sign a forward or the season was fucked . It’s been well documented that we tried to sign a number of other forwards but clubs had us over a barrel . Yes Donald has his pants taken down and he will probably be the first to admit it but he had to act and unfortunately due to his inexperience and obvious desperation , he fucked it up.

I’ve got no issue with them buying it , then selling it at a profit and moving on.

That happens in business .

They gambled on getting straight back up and lost , that was the nail in the coffin of their business plan.

Invest in the club with them in charge ? , the alarm bells are ringing.

Maybe @MADBOB THE MAKEM can enlighten us who the two chancers were who SD was showing around ?

Looked a pair of serious investors to me like.

I don’t hate the bloke , I’ve spoken to him a few times face to face and he’s a great talker , would I trust him in a business sense ? , no , I’d be very wary about dealing with him.

This last series of STID has shown him for what he is , to me he’s not a very likeable character, he comes across to me as a chancer , a blagger , one who’s bitten off more than he can chew.

Hes not a bad actor though ,watch how many times he glances directly at the camera , he loved being the centre of attention .

The cameras have gone and so has he , nothing more to add m’lud.
Finally someone else sees

This, at least we can sell the cryochamber to another football club

I tend to stay off the PF during the silliness of the January transfer window and off Sky Sports for that matter so didn’t know how the saga panned out.

I’m pretty sure there will have been some negativity around it unless for some strange reason this forum changed for a day. ;)

I think the decision to get rid of Tony was extremely short sighted.

Knows more about this club than Methven and Donald ever could.

He should be brought back in ASAP, to clean up the mess Methvens circus clown act left behind.

Salmon Pants Methven comes across as a pound shop David Brent, swearing in front of women and being passive aggressive, enjoying being the hard man.
So do I but I'd be shite at the job. Knowing the club means nowt

Maybe he is but looked out of his depth in the 4 episodes I've seen so far
He did. Either nodded, sat in silence or acqueisced and just agreed with CM without offering anything

Hard to see where the love on here comes from based on admittedly a few shots on a TV prog

It’s called editing mate. There’s a reason why last season came out in November and this ones taken until April.

The way people talk it's as if the meeting starts, Charlie says a soundbite, everyone goes about their business. Each of those interactions will have been hours long but the best telly if the bit where Charlie swears rather than someone else the audience have never heard of come up with a good idea.

True enough. Doesn't come across like he offered anything still

😄 wtf? Are women's ears too fragile to hear certain phonemes like?
