Aston Villa

Very odd.

That company shows as being a dormant subsidiary within the Aston Villa (NSWE) group. None of the trading companies appear to have changed their name. It can't be the company that acquired Villa Park, as that means the ground wouldn't have left the group, and there would be no benefit. Unless we see filings for all the other AV companies changing accounting date in the next few days, I really don't see what this is about.

The two individuals are the people who bought Villa from Xia. The name's a clumsy combination of their initials. Ultimate control is exercised through NSWE UK Ltd (a renamed Recon Sports Ltd). You may think that there's a deliberately obfuscatory group structure being set up here, but I couldn't possibly comment. It does seem that every Villa takeover from Lerner onwards has resulted in some strange changes to the group structure for no apparent reason.

Well, they''re subject to an EFL investigation into what happened over the sale/leaseback of Villa Park. So far as this filing is concerned, it's just .... odd.

Odd in a bad way?

As in trying to possibly hide something?

Obviously just you're own opinion on the matter, could it be delaying accounts to prevent point deduction this season?

Haven't a clue how it all works tbh

They been up to no good like @Grumpy Old Man or @KittenMittens
Yeah - Waltzed in and took Bent off you lot, waltzed in and took Kodjia off Bristol. Now you’re all bitter and twisted about it.

Have a read of the Bristol forum. They’re so desperate for us to fall foul of ffp, it’s hilarious. Funny enough, they all trip over themselves to get tickets for Villa Park on their big day out. I think they love us really

Here he is....

I have no ill feelings towards Villa at all tbh the only reason I like to see them lose is knowing you are raging like the absolute wet fanny you are.

That was just a genuine question as they are both accountants... now jog on Billy you easily triggered gonk.

You’re like a stuck record you.

“I have no ill feelings towards Villa “ blah blah blah.

Why do you keep telling me this? I couldn’t care either way what you think.

Not really, because the company affected has, up to now, been dormant, and none of the trading companies have had the year end date changed. In any event, the FFP process is entirely different. Whilst audited accounts are part of it, the major element is a document showing the calculation of the FPP profit/loss (which is different to the accounting profit/loss in a number of ways). Whilst that does have to be certified by the auditors as being in agreement with the related accounts, the timetable is laid down by the PL/EFL, and isn't the same as that for filing statutory accounts. In all likelihood, the accounts will have been completed and audited some time ago, as their year end is May.

"Waltzed in", it's that attitude I dislike.

Ps, we sold Kodjia for 15m, we pulled your pants down, if you waltzed in then you came out stiff legged with a limp.

It was nowhere near £15m you buffoon but if it makes you feel better and softens the blow then crack on

Don't care - Where did the £24m get you?

Sooner have the player than £24m.
Still got the shit beard mate?

Never had a beard in my life mate.

Still stalking every Villa fan called Cridge in the idiotic belief that it's me? Any old Cridge will do eh? Only problem is, my name isn't Cridge.

You threw shit at the wall and hoped enough would stick. Just about enough did, luckily for you.

Spunked all of your parachute (allows a person or heavy object attached to it to descend slowly when dropped) payments up the wall & still had to fiddle the system to avoid breaking the rules.

I'd sooner be a City/Sunderland fan than a Villian, ironically fitting.
