Never left that ground in anything other than a sprint
Sauntered out every time. We were there just before that wall fell down. Once went around boxing day when dirty Leeds were playing. 2 Leeds, 2 mags & me in the van. Think entwhistle was at Leeds then. My excuse for going.

I would claim the old Valley at Charlton as one because it was so very different to the modern stadium . The present Valley must only occupy about a quarter of the original site.

The old ground had also been vacated by Charlton for several years before they went back to it after they gave up looking for a new location.

Ayresome, Leeds road , white hart Lane, baseball ground, goldstone ground, manor ground, old Wembley.

does anyone recall going to bramhall lane when it was still open down one side for the cricket?
When I was 11 back in 1974, we went on a school trip to Bramall Lane, to watch an England schoolboys international, and I remember the open side, and the cricket pitch.

Like many a lot of grounds changed last 30 years some not for the better atmosphere wise at least.

I can't have visited them if they are lost. I wouldn't have been able to find them. 🤣

Only ground I have been to that is no longer around is Roker Park.

Never been to another ground that wasn't the home ground of Sunderland AFC. There was SJP but that is a story I would rather forget.

14 that I can remember atm, I'm not writing them all out. The only one that isn't on most lists is MK Dons old ground at a hockey stadium?

I’ve been to 21 grounds that no longer exist. All lower standard than the grounds that replaced them, but arguably all had better atmosphere.

I’d forgotten about that one, I was counting Plough Lane as old Wimbledon stadium, so I can add the hockey ground, and I’m up to 22.
