Now we are in a really good position

If Coventry win the game in hand and beat you at St Andrews... You have to win 3 and draw one and hope we lose 4 for you to overtake us.

"we can go up automatically if we want" it's not even in your own hands yet

As a team that sat in your position last season. You have to win the games in hand.

As I have said several times before I have always had a great time at your games. I live in the North of England. Have mates in Sunderland. Go to Sunderland games with them sometimes. I don't hide who I support.

This is massive on here. We are one of a list of clubs hated on here. But at games/In pubs nothing is ever said. And we chat about everything to do with football. Something that happened nearly 50 years ago? Just like it is never mentioned about the times Sunderland have been caught cheating. There is never a need to bring up things out of everyone's control. My Sunderland mates are so knowledgeable about football.

Would you like to explain why you never mention your club cheating? How about who you sent down when you cheated? That was gamesmanship. Not good but not cheating. There are no rules saying you must attack to try and score goals. Your club has broken rules in the past.

Didn't think so.
You keep mentioning us cheating, so just tell us what your on about because I have no idea.

Why don't you ask your own fellow supporters? Maybe you will believe them. The first time was about 10 years before the game that keeps getting mentioned on here. Yes a very long time ago. But I suppose about 60 years ago is too long to consider but about 50 years is fine. Or how about more recently?

Just like you have to win games not in hand.

Something about illegal payments for/to players?

If that is the case I imagine we were prosecuted for it, however delaying a game to send another club down with no prosecution is another kettle of fish in my eyes.

No doubt. Just saying acting as though those games are a given three points isn't advisable.

It is all about small steps. We are just starting to open a gap with those outside the playoffs. Another win and we are comfortably in that pack. Getting above Wycombe is the next aim.
Really?! 4 sides below us are within 3 points. If we can't learn how to win away we will be play offs at best and it's not unrealistic that we will finish just outside of the top 6. We've only got 14 games left, so we need a hell of a run in those matches to end up in the top 2. It's not impossible but it looks tough nonetheless. We're 5th favourites in the betting for automatic promotion which I make about right.

Not too many years ago you played an illegible player for several games. So did another club. The other club lost 3 points. You lost no points. If you had lost 3 points you would have been relegated.

Would possibly just about take a draw tomorrow. Tough game.

Bullshit

Tbf you are the form team and looking very likely to go up.

You should be blocked from going up though as you are effectively cheating.

Groundsharing with Birmingham will be cheaper as a result impacting on players you can bring in.

If we groundshared with Newcastle for a year we could probably plough 5m into the squad. If Coventry go up it will be a disgrace to clubs like Rotherham Ipswich and Peterborough

Do you have any intelligence?

Our gates are about half of what they would be if we were playing in Coventry. What was our ground was sold to.London wasps. They have to pay for the upkeep as it now belongs to them. We pay rent whatever. So are we doing the opposite of cheating as it has reduced what income we have?

🤣

Yes it's always more expensive to rent than to own and maintain a property.

Half your matchday income is a much smaller figure to the money you'll be saving not paying towards the upkeep of the Ricoh you absolute idiot

You are paying for half a stadium. An extra 8k on the gate is fuck all.

So you can build a 20k stadium in Coventry for 4m quid can you

I love a good backtrack. Well done.

The Sunderland juggernaut is moving up a gear on our way to league one glory.

They're goosed really, they'll always be at a disadvantage up until a time when they can buy back the Ricoh, or build a new stadium, which realistically they won't be able to afford.

Their best bet is renting the Ricoh again, but the Rugby club have them over a barrel. Negotiations will be all the more difficult if the two parties have a sour relationship. Their average attendance in the Ricoh last season was only around 12k. MK Dons and Wigan get around 10k in this league, which just goes to show how underwhelming it is.

There is a reason the game keeps getting mentioned on here.
Jimmy Hill was an absolute cheating scumbag and deserves to rot in hell for all eternity.
By association Coventry City are a club I wish nothing but misery on.

If you’re looking for any kind of sympathy on here you’ll be looking for longer than it’ll take you to own your own ground, the way your club and support have conducted themselves over the years.

If we fight hard, and I mean harder than we have ever fought a campaign, and do so till the last second of the last game I can see us just about getting 6th by the skin of our teeth.

But I think given the way all those above us seem to be picking up points when we do (I go in to every Saturday hoping most of the teams above us all lose but it never happens) I think we look good for 7th or 8th.

I wouldn't call us a juggernaut. More a 10 year old Ford Transit.

Sympathy? Never. But when it is mentioned that we are cheats I will point out that Sunderland have been found guilty of cheating on occasions. And each time much worse than not trying to score for 10 minutes.

Shows you don't know much on what is going on but still give an opinion.
