I wasn't suggesting it was an excuse. I thought the implication was clear... we should be fresher for Saturday, on account of only having to play for half of the game, tonight. I haven't seen the Oxford game, but, suspect they've had to work harder than we did, tonight.
 


Turgid second half, but work done in an excellent first half. I wish he'd given Lafferty more time to show whether he can play the CF role by himself, he's looked OK as an additional striker, but these cameos are telling us nothing.

Wasn't criticising your comments mate. I was agreeing. Maybe I could have worded it better

I’m sure he is I was just confirming my agreement with his observation.
 
Vital 3 points. Ok Portsmouth could have beaten Coventry but didn't and we needed Southend to beat Peterborough but didn't. But Wycombe lost and Ipswich only drew.

We are 3 points behind Coventry with a better GD and just 4 points behind Peterborough in 2nd. Just need Rotherham and Peterborough to lose some games in a row and for us to win the same amount and we could be ok.

Why mention the opposition I think is what he's saying. We know they are poor and they were tonight. You can only play against what's in front of you! Job done, same again Saturday.

Agreed regarding Rotherham, but we're only 4 points adrift of Peterborough, with two games in hand on them, and somebody posted their top goalscorer will be suspended for two games.
Coventry are the danger, as they're three points better off than us, with a game in hand.

Was it Oxford the mags beat the other night? Sure it was.

If so they looked fucked. I've never been more certain a game wasn't going to penalties. Leggy as owt.

Maybe why Watmore got a stretch, last 20 minutes of their next game and he could absolute slaughter them.
