Frasier

I realised I never saw the end, and so I'm working through the last 2 seasons. Great show. Not sure they should go back to it though.

And even more not sure how they'll call it a reboot. Isn't that when you make something again from scratch?

Remember reading something before about how one of the characters in the most episodes was the barista in the coffee shop. In it from start to finish and more episodes than well known characters.

When Frazier’s boss things he’s gay - “it’s a great place, full of young cops.”
When Frasier and another boss have sex in the studio - “Dirty girl.”
The radio play - “Look out he’s got a nug.”
Niles ironing his trousers.
And this
Shame it’s just the quote.
The best American comedy imo.

Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx last episode Spoiler xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Some facts about fraiser.

1) the last episode features baby David ....named after David Angell a producer of the show who died on one of the planes in 9/11
2) in real life the actors who play Niles and Bulldog are gay.
3) in Kelsey Grammers autobiography he reveals both his younger sister and father were murdered in separate incidents

I would hate a remake why spoil anything so good ...

Always thought that the great minds of Hollywood missed out on making a biopic of Bob Hope with Kelsey as the lead, he would have been excellent (probably too old now to play Bob in his prime)

Still makes me howl out loud. Brilliant slapstick tv

Favourite show of all time (and by some margin) but no way they should even consider bringing it back plus without John Mahoney it wouldn't be the same.

Even just picking up the odd re-run shows there's just too many good episodes to pick from, but one I do love is the episode in series one where Frasier buys some art turning out to be a fake and it ending up with Niles throwing a brick through the window of the gallery

Niles made Frasier for me, beautifully observed characterisation, but his obsession for Daphne should have remained just that. She was always the weakest link imo.

I'd agree with that. I thought Niles and Daphne getting together was the one dip in the show's quality, in part because her bloody family kept turning up.

As an aside, Maris has to be the best unseen TV character ever.

So you’re telling me Maris is a woman?
Well, the jury’s still out on that one.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
