Flying bogeys we called those.

Nowhere near as quick as the Yamaha RD250 or the Suzuki GT250, which were the 70s L plate kings of the ring road.

Watch this space. . shaft drive Suzuki project bike should be delivered in March.

i built a gs850 chop years ago. got the frame made down stokesley and did the rest myself.
bought it as a shed of a non runner and turned it into this. absolutely awful to ride and far too loud with the drag pipes but loads of fun.

the kettle was my first big bike. i saw it a few years back in armstrongs up westgate road before they started to go for silly money and dithered about buying it back and wished i'd have bought it back.

back to 1970's bikes, i have has this for about 25 years. don't think i could ever get rid of it, always wanted one as a lad. it's a 1976 t140. i think i know every nut and bolt on the thing personally. don't use it as much nowadays as i'd like but still gets the odd outing.

Lovely looking bike that Triumph.

it was years ago and i forget where i got it but it was just a sportster tank with a low tunnel so it sat high on the frame.

aye, commando silencers. love the sound of them. the mrs got me a set of mikuni carbs for christmas. whilst not for the purist it runs a lot better than with the amals.

i fancy an old bantam to mess about with but they're sackless prices and i think i'd get into bother for buying another bike :)

That's Beauty and The Beast right there!

Half a dozen of us chipped in for one of these to razz about the fields on when we were about 13/14. Yamaha TY 50, Loved it...the sound and smell of it....one day it just wasn't there anymore. Simpler days back then!

Dad used to have a suzuki gt500 when I was a kid done out cafe racer style was lovely. Also picked up a crash damaged gpz 600 turbo from Westgate Road and rebuilt it. Had alsorts in his garage when I was a kid. Laverda 3 pot (can't remember model), Hatrley some kawasaki Dakar style bike. Amongst others. Used to get the garage broken into once a year atleast in the early 90s
