[4th Test] South Africa v England

First the lad was total shite, now he's not 'up to the level'. You just don't like him do you?

He's taken 10 wickets at 27.4 this series. Only Broad has taken more wickets...

And Wood now despite playing 2 less tests.

As I said before he isn’t up to the level of a new ball bowler yet, especially bowling 78mph. In today’s test, he isn’t good enough. He could potentially be in the future, but my concern right now is this test match and he isn’t good enough to take the new ball over Woakes or wood. Woods just proven yet again what a difference real pace and accuracy makes, he is a fabulous player, so why he wouldn’t get the new ball and every chance to bowl baffles me

Talking of the lack of Markram with the bat.

The difference the side would be for the Saffers if had the kolpak options of Abbott, Morkel,Olivier,Roussow,Vilas, Harmer, De Lange, Wiese, Van Zyl

Mind I like Nortje so good for him the bowlers above aren't available

Most of those players are nowhere near test level to be fair.

Only Olivier would be a significant improvement on what they’ve already got.

Just seen that Crawley will make history if he gets 67 or more. He will be the first England opener to improve his score in each of his first 6 or 8 innings

Serious question, does burns come back as opener or at 3, given how well these two compliment each other. Just think Crawley is more suited to opening then batting 3

Do have to feel for the Staffers there. The quality they've lost to Kolpak is insane.

Can add Labuschange in there too - how they could do with him at number 3.
Morkel and Abbott?
Morkel was poor last year - probably over the hill. Not sure he'd be in their Test XI.

Another stat:

Seven England bowlers (Broad, Anderson, Curran, Wood, Archer, Bess, Root) have taken a 4-for this series - only the third time a team has had seven different bowlers with 4-fors in a series.

India v Pakistan 1960-61
West Indies v Australia 1977-78
