SA are batting with no confidence at all, the Wood, Broad parternaship has knocked the stuffing out of them,.

Gerrin Curran lad.

I like him a lot. People treating him like he should be the finished article at 21

A lot of it is inverse snobbery IMHO, because be plays for Surrey and went to public school. Compare and contrast with the plaudits for Stokes on here when he was 24 with a significantly worse average than Curran.

We've been crying out for a good left arm bowler for years, now we have one, well he's 3mph too slow...

I pointed out he doesn't need to bowl with the new ball, which was proven correct.

How was it proven? Wood got a wicket because the new ball moved more than the old ball would have to induce an edge, proving he should have the new ball.
Are you being serious?

Let’s be fair, the first four definitely would get in ahead of Crawley. Buttler, Curran and Woakes.

Which of those wouldn't get in England's team?
Elgar (averages 38)
Philander (bowls at 75 mph and is retiring)
De Kock - maybe gets in ahead of Buttler but it's a tight call
Maharaj - not a chance he's better than Leach, Bess or Ali
Rabada - he's very good but who does he replace?

Not a chance do they get in England's strongest XI
