Nothing against Henderson at all, but at international level most of the players are already playing to a very high level domestically, and personally think whoever is captain makes no difference to results in any shape or form.

i broadly agree but the England squad is very young and think a proper leader would help.

Think the young players will look up to and take notice of Henderson for the reasons you stated, think whether he is actually the captain or not is totally irrelevant.

Kane is a great player but I don't think he has the personality to be a great captain.

Think you would have to know his personality before making a statement like that!

Either way at the top level all players contribute and have they say on things, who is the actual captain makes no difference imo.

It’s more of a status role than making any difference to the team

His personality comes through in interviews. Maybe he is just camera shy.

Having watched and listened to interviews by both Kane and Henderson can’t see from them interviews how anyone can say Henderson has a stronger personality than Kane?

And definitely can see how having whichever one of them captain would make any difference to the England team in anyway

Might as well not bother having a captain then if it makes no difference. I disagree though.

The Spurs stats are more impressive as even though there are a few poor teams in the premiership the general quality is decent, but as I said on another thread stats without context are limited. Ali Daei has significantly more impressive international stats - 109 goals in 149 games, but you need to factor in the quality of the opposition & who is supplying you. Kane is an excellent penalty taker & probably the best around at scoring goals against shit - average sides. They still have be scored past & he does that exceptionally well so deserves credit for that. Beyond that lies the debate. In the 3 biggest games of his career (WC QF & SF, CL final) he may as well not have been on the pitch. That said I think he's still our best goal scorer & the England squad is weaker without him

I think there have been a few over the years who were more influential than a handshake. Booby Moore, Baresi, Maldini, Maradona, Beckenbauer. I am not suggesting Henderson is on any of their levels like.
 
Dosnt get credit he deserves from the media .Top lad , great footballer (yes great, and massive lads fan ) .European cup winning captain and england captain.Fair play .
In fact all the Jordan's we have had have or are great ..think Jordan Willis will be a top player one day .Ive cracked it ..just sign " Jordan's " !!..hmmm

Probably a bit to do with his teammates infidelity with another's lass, him then lamping the offender and then being unhappy at the mourinho appointment. If fit he'll be away in summer imho
 
Think England can still win it without Kane.

will need somebody to have a big tournament but that’s the case anyway.
