Kanes form hasnt been good prior to injury...bring vardy back if not ings looks very hungry at the moment...think they will be ok..

For me Kane is only captain for commercial reasons. Not the first and certainly won’t be the last. That behind closed doors game against Croatia ( I think) the only player on the pitch you could hear was Henderson. It’s a huge blow if Kane misses out mind. No amount of sugar coating can disguise it. Massive miss.

136 in 198 Spurs
32 in 45 for England.

That’s incredible

it is on the face of it.

but as I said earlier, how many of those are against the likes of San Marino and Panama. How many are penalties? How many were the last goal in 5-0 rout?

he’s a good striker, don’t get me wrong, but he’s not good enough to be a tournament winner

Hate to say it but this is the best thing that could happen to England - if Kane wasn’t so selfish, we’d have gotten to the final at least in the WC. Think we’ll really benefit from the absence of Captain Stat Padder

Hendo has already proven he’s a born leader and a winner. The fact they gave it to Kane in the first place was ludicrous.

Best captain in Europe is our Jordan

Kane was desperately unfit even in the Sweden game, against Croatia be was a liability.

It would have taken big balls from Southgate to drop him but that's what he gets paid to do. A blind man could see her wasn't fit and it meant we played with ten men in the biggest game for 20 odd years.

I thought Kane has looked a bit lazy this season. Could have been carrying an injury but he doesn’t look as hungry as previous seasons.

bit of a pattern emerging here cos thesame can be said for the CL final.

Dropping Moura - who got them to the final with a hat trick - for Kane after he decided he was fit was ridiculous. Im Really not surprised they flopped so badly this season - Kane and Poch cost them their ultimate trophy. No wonder the rest of the squad gave up. I’d resent them too

Who do you think should be England's centre forward instead?

So who is good enough to be a tournament winner? To win a tournament you need your best players fit. Kane is our best striker by some distance.

Erm I do think Jordon (one of our own) is a great credit to himself and his home city.

However Kane is an outstanding goal scorer and is probably the first name on the starting 11.

Jordon does not score like a former certain Liverpool captain and is not probably first name in the sheet.

Sterling, Rashford, Sancho - all big game players.

If Rashford takes the Kane role, he’s actually a better fit for the style of play; good on the ball, pacey, direct etc.
Agreed about Rashford, we've played some great stuff with and without Kane. He's clearly a great player but his lack of pace can hinder us at times. He can look like a donkey in a front 3 of Sterling, Rashford or Sancho etc.
The same Rashford who has been shifted back wide for Man U?
If that ends up being the best option, I'd like to see them in free alternating roles within the front 3.

He's the leader on the pitch anyway; the de facto captain.
Having Kane as captain is like the schoolyard: "I'm the best player, so I wasnt to be centre forward and captain!".
