Haway man. I’m not calling them morons or extremists but I’m not going to cheer them on if I don’t agree. The thing for me was timing. I’d have been happy for Donald to go and to cheer him off 6 weeks ago but I for me it wasn’t well thought through. I understand I’m probably in the minority and I’m not ranting at anyone but it’s what I think.
I don’t think they’ve ever said people need to cheer them on. Agree if you want. Thousands did at the time. Others don’t but this whole they think they speak for me thing is just embarrassing. That means every tweet and podcast they do they are speakin for us all? Doubt it like

Only reason it wasnt well thought through is because thier crystal ball was broken and therefore didn't realise we'd have four decent performances straight after, totally unrelated.

Their timing was spot on, as we were at out lowest ever position, and on a downward trajectory. When would be a good timing? When we finish mid table? Then the club bot lickers would say 'we need to back the club ' it's not Donald's fault' blah blah blah

Then we go down to league 2, and still arent allowed to say anything, as our expectancy levels are too high, too much pressure on the poor players etc..

Where does it end? A few half decent results changes nowt. Donald is a charlatan and so far an utter failure at this club

I agree with the last bit. I still want him to leave on balance whatever the results. I don’t trust him. After the window would have been the right time for me like. I think he’d have left anyway because I’ve always thought he just wanted a decent profit. I think he’s also an arsehole for reacting to it mind.

Is their ever a right time, on these matters looking at it purely from a long term point of view ?

The man doesn't know the meaning of a straight answer.

He can f right off.

When people wanted Short out we had people contacting us on social media and accusing us of not doing enough to get him out. Now we’re getting it for speaking for fans.
Unfortunately you will never have a 100% consensus mate. There will be fans that dont agree and will state their disagreement. Goes with the territory im afraid. Just stick to your guns.

WMS have been the better of the fanzines in dealing with this. Inevitably the statement and calling out of Donald was going to be divisive and a couple of decent results naturally meant that those who think Donald is the man will surface in bigger numbers.

My hope is that the bigger picture remains the focus of those with a platform and a voice keep up the scrutiny whilst avoiding descending into silliness and jibes like the one seen tonight. The club is in a serious situation and it doesn’t require supporters being daft or appearing fickle

they’re scared to upset the club, always have been and always will be imo. Only one i’ve heard criticising them is Bennett

There has been a lot of innuendo from Nick Barnes (and James Hunter when he’s been on speaking pre-match at away games) but not a lot of detail. Comments were made about what Ross had to deal with behind the scenes but without any further explanation and then comments were made about something having to change with regards to the overall direction of the club just a week or two ago.

When Donald was on there last week, there wasn’t much challenge to his narrative or anything about club direction (Pryde was better the previous time with the FPP loan).

The BBC seemingly are minding their step

They dont claim that. People are such soft f***ing fannies. How can anyone ever 'speak for the fans' when it's literally impossible. Fans will always have different ideas of what we think needs to be done. The most important thing is that we stick together. If a fans group feels they need to make a statement, then we as fans need to respect that, and if necessary back them up, even if it doesn't completely align with our own personal feelings. Dont allow the club to divide the fans. Once we fight amongst ourselves the club can do what they want
Haha fannies aye. I for one was always sceptical of any owner coming in to save us, especially one who was gifted a debt free club, like winning the lotto. He did a decent job of stabilising the club, albeit while thinking of a pot of gold at the end of the season. The morons were the ones havin a pint with Charlie, or suckin Donald off on a WMS podcast or talk in, sharp changed their tune. I want whats best for the club, and the priority is promotion asap. To me the Donald out was premature and may get in the way of a possible promotion. I and probably many others have no idea of any facts over what has actually happened behind the scenes. No doubt some dodgy goings on, no businessmen are ever clean. Problem for me is the solution, show me a better option and yes I would reconsider but putting negativity in the way of the teams promotion progress (hopefully) and the little positivity we have at moment is not the solution. My opinion not all fans.

I agree with your main points mate, but im not so sure if they are minding their step or just not that interested.

Your not speaking for fans it's a few of you who think pub banter means you can post poison, you do not represent the views of many, just the few

We never ever claimed we were speaking for fans. We don’t claim to represent views. A collective presented a view which many others agreed with. You don’t agree. That’s fine.

Now we have had a few results it’s the fault of these groups for speaking for all fans wanting SD out

Never felt they represented my opinion although I did agree it was time SD went

Who knows tho onwards and upwards now hopefully

i think you'll find that they do represent the views of many. after the gillingham game last month, almost every single sunderland fan was sick to the back teeth of everything the club was doing, we were at our lowest ever point and heading downwards. that was 8th december, the statement came out on 16th december, after another abject display drawing 1-1 at home to blackpool, meaning we were 12th in league 1, mid season. we won only 2 league games between 29th September and 29th December. in league 1. don't tell me that on 16th december 2019 only 'a few' fans wanted Donald either gone, or at least aware of our patience running out.

I just watched the RR interview with Sir Bob Murray (circa 2018). I feel much better now. Wonder what he thinks of all this. SD should get some advice from a total SAFC fan.
