Says to me he's using unrest on twitter as an excuse.

Course he is. He said last summer that we’d offered McLaughlin a new deal. Now McLaughlin says he has no idea what’s going on and we’ve not even made contact.

He’s blaming the fans for wanting to sell up and presumably will use that as an excuse not to invest this month yet last summer the fans were behind him and we still spent fuck all.

Classic Divide and Rule, Methven must be very pleased.

Agree with last Safc caller ..Willis needs to be tied down to a longer contract, he is a good solid centre half quick and can step up the divisions ( hopefully with us ) .He would be a good leader too .Like the lad a lot .

Oh, they'll make all the right noises about wanting to get his new deal sorted. Just like they have done with O'Nien last month and exactly like they did with Mclaughlin in the summer, and also with Maja last January.

the saddest part about it is that everyone will fall for it. just like in the election last month. somehow Donald, the club, the media (those set to make money from supporters) will successfully convince thousands of people that they themselves have the best interest of the club at heart, and perversely that the enemy of the club is the volunteer fanzines and supporter groups (those who spend endless time, money and effort supporting the lads, with absolutely nothing to gain in return). its utter madness, yet people lap it up.

Imperative if we are to progress to get Hume, onien , willis gooch tied down .Then at least we won't be over a barrell if we don't have to sell...over to you the owner .

He was probably creating debate after the bloke had a pop at RAWA and WMS etc. He was right, they acted like they spoke for all fans, they din’t. I notice ALS still pushing negative tweets today.

People keep sayin this like I must have missed where any of them have ever said that? People are soft and pathetic like. Create a Donald in campaign if ya that bothered. Thousands agreed but nobody was told to or had to it could fell flat on its face but it did the opposite

They dont claim that. People are such soft f***ing fannies. How can anyone ever 'speak for the fans' when it's literally impossible. Fans will always have different ideas of what we think needs to be done. The most important thing is that we stick together. If a fans group feels they need to make a statement, then we as fans need to respect that, and if necessary back them up, even if it doesn't completely align with our own personal feelings. Dont allow the club to divide the fans. Once we fight amongst ourselves the club can do what they want

Haway man. I’m not calling them morons or extremists but I’m not going to cheer them on if I don’t agree. The thing for me was timing. I’d have been happy for Donald to go and to cheer him off 6 weeks ago but I for me it wasn’t well thought through. I understand I’m probably in the minority and I’m not ranting at anyone but it’s what I think.

Its because we have a couple of wins. i knew as soon as the team started to perform the backlash would come from those who were againist it to start with and those who only have the nerve to speak when we are winning, the fanzine and RAWA just have to learn what i did many years ago, during the short era, resistance to a problem melts like ice cream in the sun, when the club wins a few games, the problem still exists, but as long as the team performs.. it doesn't matter in the least to some. we could go on a run of wins and those questions would get drowned out, with lines like.. get behind them, we just came up short, and we go again next season, you know the classic lines everyone who's been around long enough has heard from those who will do whatever it takes to avoid questioning the club, and make sure to shout louder than those who do, so mean time Methven rubbing his hands together, drinking his drink of choice, and donald goes back to being mr popular, the media gets its colulm inches and interviews with the club, and the mutual backslapping and hand shakes go on between people who earn a living from the club.
